Harder to use than a big machine but worked great for making face masks
I purchase this sewing machine to participate in a sewing project for my church. We were making dresses out of pillow cases for little girls in Africa. I haven't sewed since high school and did not want to purchase an expensive machine and when I saw this machine, I figured that it would serve its purpose. The day I received my machine, I stayed up until 2:00 am sewing my dresses, Iv'e made 60 dresses so far. I have really enjoyed this machine!!!!!!
This small sewing machine can handle big or small projects alike! It has the ability to do all your sewing needs with ease and fast precision! My son and I love it. I bought two. One for him and one for myself. Before buying this machine my son had never sewed anything and thought of sewing as feminine. Now he sees opportunity to create amazing outfits! Maybe one day he will be the next designer? Who would have thought this tiny machine could inspire this young man who just turned 21!
I had to watch a video but I figured it out how to work it. I do appreciate having the two already ready and pulled through with the thread and love how they gave me an extra piece to practice on. It's fantastic not powerful and scary as soon as I got practice and I just got it today! Thanks again! Fast shipping threading it through and giving the practice piece it really helped! So excited. It is small but it's just what I wanted! I tried to show how small with a pair of scissors in case anyone wanted to know.
It's small enough to set at kitchen table or desk and sew and not take up much room and small enough to fit in the box and stored under bed when not using,It's very light weight. It's great for small projects, it can be pedal or hand operated overall it's a great little sewing machine, I haven't had any problems from mine and I have had it for several weeks and it works great for what I bought it for which is to hem up clothes and small crafts for my kids.
i was pleasently supprised by how small it is and it works great for small projects and saves me the trouble of lugging around a big machine and trying to find a place where i can set it up and leave it up cause set up and clean up take minutes I LOVE IT
So far, it's working great as a "first" machine for my Granddaughter. She is making Barbie clothing for her dolls. No back-stitch and no stitch length abilities but that will come when she is ready to move up to a more advanced machine. Great sale price and came with electric scissors and thread pack.
This machine is worth what I paid for it. I thought I'd purchase it just to do alterations with. Hem curtains and mend clothing. I tried my first tote bag because I couldn't find one to match my Shiny Gold sneakers I purchased from Easy Spirit. I have a local material store nearby and said to myself "What the Heck" I'll try to make one with the help of youtube. Below are the photos. The only thing is Yes you will need a light. I have a table lamp like "Pixar" lol to fit the bill for when I want to sew. Also I have to tilt the machine to thread it on the top loops but for the needle, its easier to use the threader that came with it. Also I've noticed if I don't thread the needle a certain way like from left to right - it will not work . Also sometimes the needle thread will pop out-could be because of the tension but I have it very loosely anyway so I don't know whats going on there. I use to sew long time ago so I know what the tension should be. You should be able to pull on the thread very easily. It should feel loose and smooth pull. Getting the bobbin thread to come through is easy though, you have to wind the side wheel towards you then pull it through. I use the foot pedal with the power cord that comes with it. Kinda noisy though. It don't back stitch which I wished it did. Didn't think of that when I purchased it. I didn't think it would make a difference but yes, it does. What I have to do is go back over top seams with a regular sewing needle to secure the seam to make sure it don't come apart later on. Just wish it was longer but its pudgy. You can fit only one hand through the work space, if that. Its so tiny but portable - ideal for traveling. If you want a machine that hems pants, sleeves or to make clothing, quilts or bedspreads this is not the machine for you. Purchase one that accommodates that. Now i'm getting ready to do alterations on a blouse I purchased that is a little to big. Its worth its price for sure. Its already paying for itself. Thank you Michley and Walmart! : )
This product is not as described. It does not sew in reverse. It does not have a light. It is difficult to lock In stitches by hand. It does not sew consistent stitches. The tension is difficult to adjust and the thread does not lock appropriately. This is a waste of time to buy and a pain to work with. I am an advanced seamstress and gave this to my granddaughter for Christmas. She is 11 and we are frustrated with this machine and the deceiving description. Had I read all of the comments I would have know this. Terrible machine!
It's the hard thing to thead; for kids sewing machine! my granddaughter never fingered it out put back in box! we are get a full size!
