Sadly, the 4000 isn't in production anymore (or the original with USB hub!), so was grateful to find this one. Keys are smooth and balanced in resistance. Took 3 minutes or so to recover from the 102-style I had to suffer through before receiving.
Comfortable, sleek, helps my wrist & elbow due to shorter keyboard, separate number pad. Low profile sleek keys help with quick typing
This is a great ergonomic keyboard and mouse. They work perfectly.
very comfortable and light weigh. easy to adapt from letter placement from old keyboard.
It is easy on the wrist as you are working and don't overwork the shoulders.
I am on my computer nearly 8 hours a day and was getting a lot of wrist pain, almost to the point where I could not hold a cup. I was told it was several issues including carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist pain). I had used the previous model of this Microsoft ergonomic keyboard, but just recently picked up this new model which also includes a mouse, and it has been a great replacement! It has a slight different feel with the keys than other keyboards I've used, but after a few weeks I've gotten very used to it. The only issue is that some of the keys are either too close compared to a standard keyboard. For example, the function F1-F12 keys are so close to the number keys that I can accidentally press them from time to time. Not often though. Also, I might accidently hit one of the keys next to the control key, the keys next to it which control the menus are not used hardly at all. The mouse is great, this is a light feel, but somehow has a durable build. It's also definitely not cheap, but I've dropped mine a few times and it still works fine so I expect this will last much longer than cheaper ones. Overall, this is a great keyboard/mouse combo for anyone who doesn't want to have long-term wrist/hand damage to your hand. I attached some "non professional" photos to show you what it actually looks like set up. Pros: Good quality constructions, lots of extra keys, feels great, mouse is very well made Cons: Some keys placed too close to each other, can have accidents, has slightly different feel than previous model and other keyboard, more expensive
Don't like the shape of the key board.
