I bought this instead of the higher models because this is a Jasper model, the model that does not (generally) have the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) problem. With that out of the way, I advise wannabe gamers out there to dive into the XBox world as you would not only enjoy the exhilarating gameplay and graphics of this console, but also the features that it comes with such as playing a game with your online friends and Netflix integration. Simply put, if you have an XBox Live Gold account and a Netflix account with unlimited Instant access, you can watch Netflix movies on your TV, instead of your little computer monitor.
The xBox 360 arcade is great for me, I am a newby game player, but my husband can put his 360 hard drive on it and its the same as any other XBox 360. But for much cheaper.
This is an incredible value for someone who wants a next generation system. It looks amazing with the HDMI output. Its half the price of a PS3, yet offers similar graphics. Its a great value. The graphics are considerably better than a Nintendo Wii. With amazing games like Gears of War, Forza, Halo Wars..... Its a great game console.

The graphics are wonderful for this system. It was a gift for my son at Christmas. He plays it all the time. I got this online Thanksgiving Day at a wonderful price.
Pretty good console. The games are good to. if i had to rate the games i would give the arcade game 6 out of 10 stars and the sega superstars tennis game a 7 out of 10. i recommend you buy a fan because it gets hot {intec intercooler or a fan stand}. Overall i love it.
I only have the Xbox 360 Arcade. No you cannot scratch game dvds by turning it from horizontal to vertical, unless you leave the game disk in there. But then again, I'm sure that will happen on any console. Oh and if you are worried about the RROD (Red Ring Of Death) then get an extended warranty from Microsoft for the Xbox 360. Then if you get the RROD or some other error, you can get it fixed at no cost. Just Google Xbox 360 extended warranty, and you can get it done. Don't sell the Xbox 360 Arcade short. Sure all Xbox 360 consoles get a little hot (depending on how long you play it a day), so think of keeping the backside free of all clutter. The cooling fans are a fortune, so it's cheaper to keep the Xbox 360 uncluttered. And you can get cool games for the console, some of them in the bargain bin. Oh and to prevent your Xbox 360 from being damaged from lightning, get a wireless hookup for the Xbox 360, instead of hooking it up directly to your router (doesn't matter if your internet is grounded or not). And besides, once you set up the console wirelessly, you don't have an Ethernet cable strung across the floor.
The Xbox 360 was MUCH more than I expected it to be... This is the basic package of the 360 options, but when you are going need a 120GB hard drive, this is the cheaper option to go. Unless you just want the extra 60GB hard drive to switch between for numerous possibilities. Once you add the Live account, games, and Instant movies through Netflix the system is priceless in my opinion... Only down side, I have had it freeze up on me during movies through Netflix, other than that, very good product!
this package, even though it was not the guitar hero set that was the "blitz day " package, ended up being a much better combo offer and the membership for the xbox live was great...and this also gave us a much better selection for the game that came with this one...
This was a gift for Xmas and it was malfunctioning the first day, scratching all the new games. We had to return it to the store, and try again. So far the new one is ok, but we have several ruined games, along with some pretty disappointed little boys.
