I've had the Xbox for about a week now, and I must say I'm glad I made the buy. The online experience is great, although neither of the two games it came with supports online. But games such as Halo or Call of Duty are great if you have the extra money. I would recommend this to anyone. The price is great, since it comes with 120g of memory. Don't go with the Arcade, because if you want to play with real games, your going to have to buy an external hard drive anyways. Lego Batman is alright, Pure gets kinda dull, but other than that, real good holiday deal.
I researched all three gaming systems before buying my 360 and it's the BEST! The graphics are awesome. I've had it for one year and had nooo problems with it. I'll admit I was afraid of the "RROD", but it appears to have been resolved. I have two brothers who are gamers and a eighteen year old son who were die hard PS2 players and after playing on my system have since converted to the Xbox gaming experience. Lets face it ... what does PS3 have to offer besides blu ray abilities? You buying a system for gaming or watching movies? The xbox 360 plays movies in HD quality and the elite comes with free xbox live silver membership. Also, if you are thinkling you can play your PS2 games on the PS3 system ... THINK AGAIN! Soo, if you have to buy new games either way, why not go with the ultimate gaming system? XBOX 360 all the way!!!!!!!
My kids, friends and family members loves this game. They have already went out and bought new games and started tournament and battle to prove whose the best. However I did have to return my first system due to the disc being scratch with a big ring. I called and spoke to one of the rep's in Walmart who advised me it was possibky the system and the problem was called THE RING OF DEATH. I thought wow but its new; he informed me it could have been dropped during shipping and exchanging it or a refund would be no problem. I had my receipt and completed the exchange. My family is back at it again. This was an early Christmas present.
Definite buy! $299 for 120GB harddrive, wireless black controller, and black headset WOW! But the cost of online... one of the only problems the other one is RROD rare with elites and easily fixed its NOT gone but isnt much of problem. If you get the N wireless network adapter($82 as appose to $100 at other places), its a great buy very good quatliy and you can play online at hotels and at other places. Buy everything online @ walmart.com lots of savings. Things to buy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Elite of course(120GB)$300 -Extra controller(black)$40 -N wireless network adapter(alot better than the other 1 because it picks up the N networks as well as all of other types most of the new networks are N FYI) -12 month gold card(you save $20 if you get this instead of four 3 months gold cards) -GAMES -Call of duty 5&6 -Halo 3 ODST Better than PS3 even though it costs more. Its simple you get what you pay for BUY THISS SYSTEM!
This is a good deal because look. You get two games which together cost 40$ plus the Elite 300$. My son loves it ps3 is good but the xbox 360 is better.
This was a fantastic package deal. I shopped and around and compared many packages from numerous stores and this one was the best for what I was looking for. I got the 120 GB drive, microsoft points (1200), 3-month Xbox live subscrip., controller charger and the dual game with the system for the same price that many places were selling just the system and game. On top of it all, the shipping was incredibly fast.
bought this system for the wife, i already have the PS3 for myself. have to admit the system is pretty impressive. seems graphics and controls feel equal to ps3. there are more games for the xbox 360. it was harder to set up a xbox live account. you have to have hotmail or equivalent type of email address already or you cant sign up, but other than that the wife loves it. the 120 GB hard drive is more than any one would ever need. they say the red ring problem is suppose to be fixed with the new system, time will tell. i bought the extra 2 year warranty from walmart, $20.00 and worth it. the dashboard for xbox is a lot more colorful and seems better setup than ps3. id would diffidently recommend this system.
Great product for the money. I'm a little disappointed at the noise, but it's just from discs. If you're playing a downloaded game, it's whisper quiet. The new ones that came out (a day after I bought this one) are supposed to be whisper quiet, so we'll see. Love the design and color of it. Exceptional graphics. Xbox LIve is always great when you're playing multiplayer co-op games. Looks and performs admirably. Don't regret the purchase one bit. I purchased the additional 3-year warranty with it because of the potential of the RROD issues. This is my 2nd Xbox, and I've gotta say, with all of the wireless capabilities this thing has, and Kinect coming out soon, I'm extremely excited, and love this thing.
I've had the system for over 2 years now and I was extremely pleased with the graphics and gameplay. I didn't have a single flaw what so ever, until I experienced the RED RING OF DEATH. I was devastated because, I thought that problem would be fixed. Anyhow, I sent it in the Microsoft and they had me a new Xbox 360 Elite in about a week. Even though the one they sent me had a huge crack on the end....haha. Overall, the product smashes the ps3 because the ps3 has a terrible server for it online gameplay, although it is free.
Before buying anything you should educate yourself on the product, but lots of people dont and this is why i am giving a review. The Elite has had issues with not working, the arcade and pro system are known for being more reliable but still able to upgrade. But i would like to say if your gonna buy a system i would go with the PS3, unless the 360 has the games you want that are not on PS3. Here is my break down on the value of 360 vs. PS3..... 360 Elite - $300 ................PS3.120GB - $300 Batteries- $20 roughly ........Batteries - $0 Headset - $15 ..................Any bluetooth - $20 xbox live- $40 ..................online play - $ free wireless adapter - $77 ........wireless ready $free $452 before tax .............$320 before tax *****this is based on what you need in the first year of owning both systems to go online and play pretty much.***** i own both systems and i can say PS3 is far superior. @Not too mention, the 360 is verrrrrry loud while operating , compared to pretty much no noise from the ps3@ But the choice is yours
