I have been a computer gamer since the days of the Commodore 64. I have gone on-line and configured multi-thousand dollar systems that were excellent for game play. This is my first dedicated gaming system. After playing on it for a few weeks, I don't think I'll ever spend huge bucks on a PC again. Graphics and sound are great. On-line gaming is an option. Great fun for the money!
I am the father of the xbox user.(not owner yet,3more payments) Humor aside, the first xbox was a disaster. After 1 year the red rings af death hit. Instead of listening to me, he decided to google repairs and needless to say after 30+attempts he finally gave up. This system works perfectly. The heat exiting from the back runs at a much lower temp. The hi-def output on a 720p 1080I HD tv is awesome. If the elite or any new version x360 is able to hold up to a wanna be game designer/ computer geek, it should last as long as my 8088. TIME WILL TELL! I recomend it! I also recomend the tv he bought at wally world; a sanyo 32'' HD. Didn't want, son did, now I love it.
i love the 360 elite i enterd a contest and won it for free i already had a 360 pro so i was interested on how the would compare and ther wasn"t really any difference between them but the 60g of memory so it your thinking about geting a 360 go with the pro unless your planning on storing lots of music, games, and videos. but overall both great systems had them for abouth 7months and have had absolutly no trouble.
The 120 GB Hard Drive Gives You The Space You Need To Download Movies, Games And More! And If You Own The 60 GB XBox Drive, You Can Transfer What You Have Stored On That Drive To The 120 Easy! However, Your 60 GB Will Erased! But Free To Use Again!
I have the xbox elite, Ive not found much need for the 120gb harddrive yet But the system itself works well. The newer version xbox's dont get as hot as the older versions and the drivers are not as noises as the older versions. which was the only 2 things that bothered me about the older xboxs.
The Elite has excellent graphics, has been very reliable, and has easy-to-use controls. The game selection is great, and we enjoyed the two games that were included in the package. Overall, I would recommend this excellent this great product for anyone interested in serious gaming!! (I'm grammabev's son!)
The 360 has a great selection of games out. I love the black of the elite as it matches in better with the other electionics around and my furniture. I have both a regular 360 and the elite and notice no difference in noise or performance but the value for the hard drive is great. The bigger hard drive is great for linking up windows media center and if you like to download arcade games or record TV through media center.
I bought this for my husband for christmas and he uses it often. The entire family gets involed with the unit. The 120 GB hard drive is a must I think. The memory fills up fast on other machines. Great buy, I recommend paying a bit more for the 120 GB hard drive.
Let me be honest, after reading the reviews from many gamers from many sites such as EB Games, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc., I was not about to purchase the Xbox 360 because of the infamous "RROD". But I have to say that my Xbox has not experienced this problem yet and I know its not going to experience it. Comparing the Xbox 360 elite to the PS3 its a tight race, but in my opinion the Xbox wins by a slim margin of the fact that it has the HMDI cable and the headset, plus the option to go Wifi if you don't have a ethernet hub or DSL box. Even though I only had my Xbox for a couple of weeks, I have to say that this is truly an excellent product, and Walmart does a excellent job with making the accessories affordable. Even though I'm a sony fan, xbox has changed that, and I know after reading this review, you (those like me at first that were skeptical of the xbox 360) will change your mind too. Just keep in mind that the storage capacity of the xbox is a must to be greater than 20 gigs if you want to keep the heat down on the xbox and the noise (which isn't that bad). And for the "RROD," all I have to say is for those who play 3 hours+ on games, try taking a break or just putting the game on the hard drive, these machines aren't perfect and we have to keep that in mind.
Great product. the 2 games it comes with are kind of childish and not for the hardcore gamer at all but it is nice 2 have a bonus and somethign 2 do right out of the box... HUGE hard drive space 2 save all your movies, music and games and one convenient wireless controller so there is no gettin tangled up! over all i would recomend this product 2 anyone who is looking for a great reliable product for kids, adults, or teenagers who are looking for a great and uniqe game system..
