Bought this to run a GMRS in my 4Runner for when I'm out with people that don't have CB. Works great!
I own both the MicroMobile® MXTA26 6db Gain Whip Antenna as well as the MicroMobile® MXTA25 3db Gain Ghost Antenna and both have performed perfectly depending on which overlanding excursion I'm on. The quality on both units are excellent as well as they both look great on my vehicles. I would certainly recommend these products.
I've had this antenna mounted on my roof racks for about 2 weeks now and love it. I've used it multiple times already and has worked great. I have multiple midland products and love them all. I just drove some pretty tight trails and the antenna held up to every branch that hit it.
I installed this antenna as a dedicated GMRS whip to replace a dual band mag mount I'd used before. I immediately noticed greater simplex range and way better interaction with our local repeater. The reception clarity and range from the repeater has improved a lot. Because of the spring base on this antenna, it suits usage on my Jeep much better.
I bought this antenna to replace a dual band antenna that I was using. This antenna allowed me to be able to talk on a repeater that the dual band antenna wasn't able to. Big improvement for sure.
The antenna provided me a flexible, serviceable, and priced right option for my Jeeps GMRS radio needs. The antenna design allows it to flex as we are driving in the northeast woods without me worrying if it would break. I have found it provides a clear signal at a greater distance then my past setup on the Jeep. I was concerned the flex design would cause the paint to crack like may past antenna from another company but no sign of cracking. I recommend the product and will purchase another one for my second vehicle. Thank for making a great product!!
Upgraded to the MXTA26 6db antenna from the small, included antenna that came with my MXT275 and was very impressed with the improvements in the performance of the radio. Reception is now from as far away as 60 miles across a mountain range and transmission that markedly improved though have not tested that to the fullest yet - but am able to hear (barely, a 2.5 watt handheld) and be clearly heard at our post office 6 miles away over a mountain ridge - impressive! This is a must have upgrade for any kind of serious use of the radio system to get any real range; don't skimp on this piece.
Very Good Quality & Powerfull Móvil Antena You Can Reach Long Distance with this with Repeaters or with out Repeaters, Great Performance. I am Very Happy with this Antena & with my MicroMobile Midland MXT400
Installed on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the new -575 GMRS radio. The radio came with a standard 6" antenna. I have not tuned either antenna but the MXTA26 seems to give me about 20-25% more range.
I got this to upgrade from the supplied antenna that came with my radio. The original antenna worked great but this one has improved overall performance of my setup. My dad and I both have micro mobiles with this antenna and both transmit and receive are great. so far we have experienced 10 mile range in hilly tree covered areas around our homes. I highly recommend.
