Detailed product description

They say, “design is in the details”, and you agree – a stroke of color, a dab of glue, a delicate stitch brings it all together. The LED Floor Light and Magnifier is our largest light-plus-magnifier, a floor-standing model that provides ample light and image enhancement for DIYers, crafters and hobbyists who need their hands free. This sturdy unit features a heavy duty neck that is remarkably easy to adjust: bend it to work at tabletop height or extend it fully to 54 for workshop projects. Twelve powerful LEDs (grouped in threes) encircle the viewing area, which features a 2x magnifying lens with a 5x bifocal inset. A unique system of reflectors further intensifies its light output. Assembly is tool-free, and the power button and handle are conveniently large and easy to use. Optional battery power makes this one of the only floor lamps you can tote around the house and workshop without hunting for the nearest outlet. It’s well suited for leisurely moments, too. Set up near your favorite chair and position the lens over your lap to brighten and enlarge reading, writing, knitting, and any other task you find difficult without a magnifier. SKU:ADIB001D49350

I purchased this item for a friend who is going blind and she just loves it. She really like the battery option.. for incase the electricity etc should go out... it lights up her whole living room. She also said she could actually read the assembly directions after she put it together.. it was all a blurr and she couldn't before. It arrived quickly too.

I bought this light/magnifier for my mother because she had a hard time seeing stitches. She states, "I loves this light while sitting doing mending, seaming knitted socks and crafts. Lamp is stable and better than other more expensive craft lamps/magnifier floor models".

This light is just what I've been looking for. I am a seamstress and crafter to this light is great for all of my projects. I can use it in my sewing room or if I decide to sit in my recliner and hand sew something and need to see stitches to remove I can see them easily. I can read labels too...need to see a splinter..you name it this light will move where ever you need it cause it's ac and dc..

This light and magnifier is so nice! I cross stitch and I had to give it up because I could not see with my glasses how to do it anymore. I can see how to sew, cross stitch and even if I want to paint my nails and lots of other uses it is great. This was money well spent. Thanks Walmart for great product!

I got this lamp for my 93 year-old mother who lives with us. She has not been able to read her Bible in a while and has been using a small hand-held magnifier. She loves this lamp and I find that I use it all the time as well. There are so many other uses for it that I know I will always have one of these in the house. Buy it; you won't be sorry!

My sister and I have been dreaming about having one of these for over six months. We love to sew, especially by hand, and as we are in our 50's, our close-up eyesight was the challenge. We each got one and have been quilting, embroidering, mending, etc. with glee! Of course, lighting is a big issue and I was sitting close to a hot, clip on lamp that was so bright it annoyed my husband in the same room. That issue is now resolved with the perfectly bright, cool, LED lights in this lamp. And it is easily directed right toward my work and not toward anyone else. Having used other 'adjustable-neck' lights, I expected to find this a problem, but it is a sturdy mechanism (not a contraption type with numerous angles and cables and wing-nuts that is an aggravation every time it needs moved. I easily and often change the angle and depth even slight amounts without any slack or trouble. The lightweight and simple design makes it easy to move from room to room and I do this two to four times a day so I can sew at the dining room table or in the living room while watching TV. We got the absolute best price at Walmart on-line and were happy with the free store delivery and pick-up experience! Assembly was a breeze.

Purchased specifically for counted cross stitch work. Took a few minutes to adjust to working under the magnifier. It works the way I imagined it would. The price was perfect. Used birthday money to purchase it. The biggest complaint I read was the balance. If you make sure the base is turned with the light it is very balanced.

As I have gottin older and I love to sit and crochet a lot. Light has become the issue. This light is the BEST thing I think I have ever brought. I can move it closer to my work or looking over my work. If i need to use the magniifer its right there. I'm a hard core crafter, and after looking at the craft store around town. Walmart (hands down) was the cheaper. So I got a super price for a super lamp. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. VERY Happy with my purchase! Joann : )

I haven't had time to use the lamp extensively yet, as far as completing a beading project, but it has helped out in doing some sorting and small repair work, so I have hopes that the longer projects will go faster when I get around to them. I like that I can get the base close to my work desk, and that the arm is flexible enough to bend the lamp in very closely to my hands and still allow me plenty of room to move them.

Took up crocheting several years ago. Difficulty seeing close-up stitches. Finally decided to treat myself with a lighted magnifier lamp. I am thrilled with the light and magnifier as working as described and as expected! Wow. I can see stitches of project so clearly I am bothered that I did not buy this 2 years ago. However---you need to know there is what I'm calling a 'design flaw,' which I would hope would be addressed by manufacturer as problematic. Assembling appeared to be child-do-able, and was---until the last step. First part of what I call a Design Flaw (in my humble opinion). There are 2 cylindrical pieces which come threaded through with electrical cord strung through each down to the base. Assembling simply requires removing the shipping protective washers which were in place at each cylindrical joint and connecting the joints. Good. Easy. First connective joints had screw threads at each end of cylindrical pieces which easily attached and screwed the two together. Easy. Last joint that connected to base had NO screw threads...but only popped into the base hole. Also, there was some serious excess electrical cord sticking out of that last part of the base-connect-stand. What to do? What to do? Directions said to carefully push excess electrical cord back up into the lamp's stand at last extension. Hmmmm. Not easy, particularly since instructions clearly advised not to be abusive in this step or any maneuvering of lamp movement overall. I wasn't and did. Wow. Glad that was over! Now to check out my wonderful new LIGHTED and MAGNIFIED lamp. Here comes the second part of what I'll call a Design Flaw (in my humble opinion). I attempted to move the lamp from my first positioning (now attached to base by insertion of the 2-piece cylindrical pieces into the stand) and guess what? The lamp's whole stand just popped right up and came immediately right back out of the hole! (Remember I noted above there were no threads to screw the last extension together. ) Worse. Now there was that same excess electrical cord to 'carefully' push back up into the cylinder. Not a happy camper about this design. I love love the light. I love love the magnifier! Both work excellently, but I am now faced with attempting to glue/use plumber's tape or some other clever remedy where stand connects to the base to try to prevent the stand from popping back out every time I reposition the lamp for my various uses...and of course, once I do that I doubt I could even return the lamp if I get too frustrated with design flaw. If you find a solution for the base connector, you're smarter than I am at this second. I WILL figure out a solution, but I really shouldn't have to... there could just simply have been screw threads at last connector??? Otherwise this lamp is totally awesome for lighted magnification, for which I spent my big bucks!
