I had to start working from home when covid19 happened in March 2019. A lot of the desks were sold out and I couldn't find anything under $200! I needed a desk that had to be a certain size because of the minimum amount of space I have and that could also fit two monitors. Thankfully, I don't have a tower with my desktop (it is just a small box). I didn't put the side piece for the “computer tower” because I didn't need it. The desk is really great, I'm so impressed! Both monitors fit, the desk moves up and down if you want to stand and work plus the keyboard tilts. It has lock in place wheels and makes it easy to move it around when you need to move it to clean. The assembly was very easy (I'm a 30yo female). They send you the tools but they are very small and hard to work with it's better if you have your own tools. I was very nervous that it was going to be to small and cheap looking because of the price and I would just get a nicer desk later. But I was wrong!! It is very well made and it's just the right size for my work space. My friend got a $180 from Amazon and it looked so much nicer than mine. Well, pictures can be deceiving cause mine ended up being so much nicer and space, portable friendly for $87, couldn't be happier! Hopefully. my pictures give it more justice. (Again, I didn't put the side piece on for the a computer tower)
I was surprised by the way it looked- modern and yet quite a space saver. Height is easily adjustable manually and wasn't that hard to put together. I highly recommend it if you don't need a lot of surface space and just want something to put your laptop and/or desktop. I actually have enough space for a laptop on the side as well. The little addition of putting books on the side is great!
After all the dust settled and the sweat dried up, this is a handsome little unit. BUT, during assembly there was a problem with the screws fitting into the sheet-metal-like threads. Several of them failed to engage and would not start nor thread. Finally, after much frustration and worry, I figured out a work around. I had to ream the holes using the correctly sized Phillips head screwdriver and all was good. Until I got it completely assembled, that is. Then, I discovered that one of the holes where the threaded adjustment handle was supposed to go in order to adjust the height of the rear platform was missing its threaded nut insert. Again, I figured out a work around (don't mess with an engineer). I fixed a couple of zip ties around the riser post and superglued them in place. This fix is good for only one "setting", so I can only hope that I got it right forevermore. While the unit looks nice, it is rather small, and I will almost certainly have to place a small table beside my workspace. And, in the long run, especially if I have to roll it around much, I will remain worried that the 4 screws, screwed into sheet metal threads are all that hold this unit together.
The design itself is great and the framework seems to be sturdy and strong. I loved the flexibility of being able to decide the height for both workstations. The only complaint I have is with the quality of the tables/workstations themselves as one of the workstations chipped just taking it out of the box.
I ordered the “oak” color choice thinking I was going to get a oak board and white frame like the picture but I actually got a black frame, kinda misleading because the pictures show a white frame. Other than that it seems like it will be a good table
I like it , but one of the plastic things does not have a hole like the other piece, I can provide extra pictures, I dont want to return item just send me the part
One part was missing and another part had a surplus of one, plus a major blemish on one of the parts that was painted over with white paint that easily chips off the metal. Who does this?? I would have ordered a replacement but I remember having read one of the reviews before purchasing it, expressing similar issues, so I knew this probably was not a fluke. Is there no quality control anymore?
We received these desks 8/25 and put together fairly soon after. It is 10/5 and my 7 year old (47lbs) son was sitting at this desk v-learning when the top broke off. It looks like there is a soldering issue with the construction of this desk, but we are very lucky that my son was not hurt. This is unacceptable for a $70 desk purchase. And now we are just waiting for the 2nd one to break is a similar way. This is disappointing.
I bought 2 of these for Christmas gifts then they were delayed a week so they came yesterday the first one I put together was ok the two top pieces are a little off but not to bad then I put the second one together and what a mess one of the boards was damaged on the corner and the holes on the bottom were off on both boards I am so not happy now my daughter isn't happy either now I have to take it all apart and repack it and send it back I am not waiting for another one I am sticking with Amazon I have no luck with Walmart online ordering they stink
im really disappointed to say the least. i have a limited amount of space in my room and this desk fits perfect so ill give it that- but to assemble this thing must take einstine. first of all it took forever, second of all some of the parts didnt fit, and most importantly- because one of the sets of screws didnt fit- the table FLIPS OVER. my fingers hurt from trying to get this desk to work out and now i have to disassemble this thing to return is. so upset
