I've had this up for approximately a month now and I love it.
This fan is gorgeous and the perfect accent to our pool house. Fast shipping and it was very easy to assemble and mount. Highly recomended! Tip: order the remote control with it...as you can dim the light and control the speeds directly from the remote.
MinkaAire makes a very nice fan. I was a bit disappointed that the blades where not real bamboo just modeled plastic. But when it's up on the ceiling it's hard to tell anyhow
I've ordered several styles of fans from MinkaAire, and have been happy with all of them, except this one. Although it has an attractive design, the fan blades are made of plastic, not bamboo. This was very disappointing. Even a combination of plastic and bamboo for the blades would have been a more tasteful approach.
we have 3 of these fans installed on our back porch. Each fan has lost their blades and have gone flying. Luckily no one was injured by the blades or windows broken. The large holes in the yard and dings in the porch shows how dangerous this fan really is. The fan was installed by professionals and on further inspection looked correct. We have since added screws to the blade install and hoping no more accidents. Not so great for the price.
