I researched a lot of the woodworking store brands. They were very labor intensive, many steps, and almost operating room conditions needed. I have always used Minwax products only projects in the past but thought I'd give the expensive products a try since reading about them in the trade mags. Made up samples, (4), and asked my wife to pick the finish she wanted on her walnut table and benches. . . Guess what, she picked the Minwax finish over all the others! I even mis-tabled them to add to the drama ! ! ! She still picked the Minwax finish. . . and I'd have to agree with her. Easy to apply, used a painting pad and couldn't ask for a better result.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This protective finish topcoat was really good. It went on smooth and dried very nicely after application. The quality was amazing and better than other ones I've tried from other brands. Honestly minwax is my go-to brand for finishing so you really can't go wrong with consistenst high quality products.
I painted my kitchen cabinets and countertops. Then I used the polycrylic to seal them. It has been a month with no peeling and no water damage
So very easy to use! I make everything from home decorations to corn hole boards to rustic deck coolers, this clear coat does it all! I use it to seal my corn hole boards and make the tops slick, it for sure does that, brush on with a synthetic brush (not roller or sponge) and depending on the level you want to achieve it can be slick as glass with some light sanding between coats, and when completing I use my buffer to bring it to mirror like finish, This is definitely my go to and I haven’t even mentioned drying time, I hate to wait! And this certainly keeps up with my impatience! Depending on humidity I’ve added coats in as little as an hour, I’m talking thick coats! It’s astonishing how quickly this dries, this is the only clear coat I use now, polycrillic has made me a believer!

I really like this product it is easy to use and it does not take forever to dry which is great especially when you want to add another coat of it to something. Another thing I like about it is that it actually does crystal clear and it helps protect the surface below the Miniwax Polycrylic Protective Finish Ultra Flat. I would definitely recommend this to people.
I use this Minwax Polycrylic on my diamond paintings. It seals them and keeps the diamonds from coming off. Nice clear coat and lets the sparkles shine thru. Excellent!
I love this stuff! As compared to typical polyurethane, it does a much better job. Thicker, heavier shine. I used only two coats as opposed to my usual three. (Lightly sanding between) less odor and much heavier shine. Only precaution is, if ordering, they do a good job securing the lid, however the can gets beat up... ouch. Highly suggested!

The cabinets are the worst. Because the paint would get scratched. And warn away from the handle areas . Now I need not worry. It dries clear and . It will keep that from happening. Make sure to ventilate. It's strong.
