i used jacobean stainer for a antique vanity set to match my dresser %26 beds %26 it done a great job %26 half of almost of the can is still there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Minwax stain on the first job I did when I started my business in 2000. I love the size of the cans, the mixture of stains, and the clean-up afterward. It goes on smoothly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I renovate homes and recently picked up Minwax® Wood Finish in the shade EXPRESSO. I wanted the floors to look rich and elegant all while still showing the woods natural grain. I'm so impressed! These floors are white oak and poly-coated with a water base solution, to avoid any yellowing. I would highly recommend this color if you are looking to add depth to your space and give that luxurious feeling. I added photos from my instagram if you want to see what it looks like across the floor plan!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I build and refinish futniture for a living. I only use minwax stain. It has the best color and fastest dry time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I still need 1 more coat on the top cabinets but I love the change! Looks very farmhouse/rustic and no more blonde/yellow cabinets! I scrubbed the cabinets with warm water and dawn - drying as I went... Then lightly sanded by hand! Put a coat of stain on, wait a minute, then wipe it off... These have 4 coats - it's super quick and easy!
I tried others years ago, the have stayed with these for years. Easy to custom blend to match anything. Being a woodworker for over forty years, Minwax Stains have always been in my shop and always will be. Thanks for helping my create the things I make
We use minwax oil based penetrating stain, because if the rich color it brings out in wood! The furniture we paint and stain for our customers get nothing but the best! When used correctly with the minwax pre-stain the product shows an even color throughout the project
I own a 100 + year old colonial home and my pet peeve is people that paint over natural woodwork. Last winter I decided to start refinishing some interior doors. I completed five so far and got fantastic results using Min wax pre stain conditioner, Min wax Wood Stain and of course Min wax Polyurethane. Mmm. The wood stain brought out all the natural grain in the doors and then 3 liberal coats of Min wax gloss polyurethane. OMG, I Can see my reflection in the finish. I want to emphatically state for the record that I am an amateur wood worker and just followed the instructions on the product labels. To close my review Min wax has opened up a whole new world of restoration projects around my home. Over this past spring I began taking down all of the bannisters and have completed restoration on 7 of 8 and they look fantastic and then stripped and refinished the bar top in my basement. Thank you for creating some amazing products for a laymen wood enthusiast. Drew Modic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a quart can Ipswich Pine 221. Loved the color for my handmade bar piece for my new home build in my kitchen. Bought a gallon of the same color to stain 8 new Solid Wood doors for my new home and wanted them the same color as the bar piece. Did 3 of the doors and brought one into the house...Boy is the color not the same. Very disappointed and now have 3 ruined doors that cost too much to throw out. Not sure what to do with them now. Just to be sure I did a sample after the fact, stirred both stains for the same amount of time and they are definitely different. The lighter color in my pic is the color I love from the quart, the reddish color is from the gallon. The color reminds me more of Gunstock, which I did not want.
Accidently ordered a stain for indoors. Need outdoor with sealer. Went to return the item and it said only returnable to the store, even though when purchasing it states it is returnable to the store or by mail. At this time I am unable to return it to the store and after speaking to several agents including a supervisor they still could not offer Returning by mail. I order from Walmart on a regular basis and this is a first for not being able to resolve something. I feel it should state in the item policy that it is only returnable to the store. Hopefully this review will help others if they have to return.
