The soil has the perfect consistency and nutrients to start and maintain your gardening. This soil is great for those who are beginners. I love that the soil is dense but still has a lightness to it. My plants have been thriving since I made the switch.
I love all Miracle-Gro products and Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil is no exception. This soil mix is slightly heavier than their potting mix and is recommended for raised garden beds. I use it on my large outdoor pots and planters. The results have been great. Strong, healthy plants that do not require additional soil amendments or fertilizer. My poinsettia plant refused to bloom for three years until I transplanted it in Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil. You can see the results in the picture.
I really like how everything is included so that all I had to do was put my plant seeds in the soil mixture. It seems real light and I'm not sure how well it will hold moisture but it has been raining lately so I don't think that's going to be a problem. I like how everything is already included and all you have to do is put your plants or your seeds in it and make sure it has moisture. I like that everything's included that you should need to grow a decent miniature crop. I find that if there's a lot of steps to something, that I tend to put off doing things. I was anxious to start this because it didn't seem like it would be a lot of work. LOL
This is a very good planting soil. Not too moist out of the bag. Easy to crumble the ‘clumps' normally found in bags of soil. There seems to be fine mulch or bits of wood within this mix which makes it pour easily from the bag. I used this to fill a planter for my front porch. I recommend this for your outdoor planters as well as any raised beds that you use.
Miracle-gro definitely lives up to its expectations. I have strawberries that it was only roots but within two days plenty leaves and my blueberries and blackberries the leaves are very dark green and healthy. Looking forward to the fruits that these will bear. I recommend this product
This is great for outdoor use. The soil was dark, rich, and had moisture so it wasn't dried out. It seemed fresh and there is a LOT packed into the bag, it was quite heavy and dense. I thought I was going to use up the whole bag but ended up only needing half. I didn't notice any foreign particles in it but I also wasn't examining it super closely. There were some mulchy type pieces but that is pretty typical for outdoor soil. I did not need it for a raised bed. I wanted it to fill in an area that had poor, sandy soil and I had recently planted some hibiscus bushes.
The Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil is quality looking soil. It is rich in color. I like the large bag that you get. It was just the size I needed to finish off my new raised bed. It is lightweight yet dense soil that is just what the plants need (I was glad the bag was not too heavy). I could see the nutrients in the soil. I know my plants are going to love it. Miracle-Gro is a brand that I know I can trust to provide a quality product. My plants are doing well in this soil.
Hard to review this without waiting for the seeds to sprout. The soil comes well-bagged and is nice and moist when you open it. It seems clean and well mulched to prevent compacting. I haven't had anything sprout yet because it's still a bit cool here and you are not supposed to use it in a container. It's only for raised beds with yard soil below. Where I am there's an issue with fire ants so may not use again, because of the container thing. But it looks and feels like quality soil, with the added mulch.
Just bought 50 bags of this for my raised garden beds! As I'm spreading it I'm finding little pieces of glass, plastic and rubber. Very disappointing especially on how much I spent.
Highly disappointed in the quality and overall safety of the raised bed soil. There were various bits and pieces of trash throughout the soil but my most alarming concern was the mangled metal fork I managed to stab my finger with while working in the soil!
