The first monitor we received had to be returned as it was very staticy. We exchanged it for the same monitor and this time the picture is very clear and there is no static. It is nice not only hearing the baby but also seeing the baby. Money well spent.
This monitor is the best! Its great for babys and for older children. its great to keep an eye on what the kids are doing in their playroom and outside without me having to be there at all times. and is very helpful with making me feel like my baby is safe while she sleeps! its deffinitly worth the money!
My wife and I really enjoy this product. We did a lot of footwork before we decided on this particular A/V monitor. Not only does it work well in our 3 story townhouse, but it has very little interference. Every once in a while we will get a pop or a crackle, but it is not continuous and does not interfere with it purpose...seeing and hearing the baby. For the price I highly suggest this product. This monitor does the job at being able to see and hear your baby but it also has a constant bad humming/buzzing noise and gets pretty bad static. Changing the channels doesn't help and it doesn't only have the noise/static with interference. It's all the time. I can use it during the day for short periods but I definitely could not use it at night it is too noisy. The screen also flickers much more than I find acceptable.
I thought this was amazing at first, sounded great, looked great! We live in a large brick house, as long as the receiver and monitor are in the same room it has great picture, get them in separate room and its static & jumping picture. It says color screen, i dont see any color. If the sound does work...i can't hear it over the static. I'm going to try to return or at least exchange it. I'd much rather have a cheaper model and at least be able to hear because with this expensive one you for sure can't hear and can barely see very far away.
I was so excited when i ordered this video monitor. I'd been wanting one for a while and this was the one that the Baby Bargains book reccommended. I set up the monitor the day i got it in the mail. It worked PREFECTLY...i could see my little angel perfectly on the handheld monitor. The only problem I had with this product was that every night between midnight and 2am, the monitor would sound off with static...i would move it and change the channels on the camera and the montitor...with no luck. UGH - i tried for a week to make this work but every night at the same time - STATIC. So I ended up returning it.
I GOT THIS ITEM FOR MY BABY SHOWER BECAUSE I WANTED A CAMERA AS A PARANOID FIRST TIME MOTHER. EVER SINCE WE STARTED TO ACTUALLY USE IT ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT STATIC AND OUR BEDROOMS ARE RIGHT ACROSS THE HALL FROM EACHOTHER. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE!
I bought this product right before giving birth, so I needed it ASAP. I can never see my baby for more that 5 seconds at a time and it blacks out. Then you have to turn it off and back on to see the picture. I am never able to use it with the sound on. There is constant static and noise on it. I am exchanging the product. It is not worth the money. I've had constant problems with it. And still no baby monitor. I feel let down.
This product is terrible! I don't recommend it. I bought this after seeing these reviews thinking most of the reviews were good. Got it home and tried it, a couple months later my baby was born, and we are trying to use it now for our 3 month old. The sound is all static on either channel, it does not have any color, and the camera, if put too far away from the baby, the night vision is a huge white blur, so now you have to put it close, and when my baby gets to where she can grab things this monitor will be no use. I can't believe we spent this much money on a piece of junk, now we are stuck with it! DO NOT BUY!
I bought this product for my newborn, and tried it the other day. There are only two channels and neither work. I read the troubleshooting ideas, and it suggested turning off all cellular phones, wireless networks, and removing any other electric interference. In this day and age, who doesn't at least have a cell phone? This product would only work out in the middle of an empty field!! Not worth the money.
