Mohu - Leaf Supreme Pro Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna 65-Mile Range - Black/White

After two years, I finally found the sweet spot!

For two years I was struggling with my Mohu Leaf Supreme Pro. I could not even give it a bad rating because our one-story condo is surrounded by tall buildings, tall trees and rockery. Most of the important TV towers were about 30+ miles away northwest. None of the antenna reports and the rabbit ears reports really helped me. Hanging it up on this wall, that wall, the window, the patio door, up, down, left, right, this way, that way, but I just could never get a good TV reception that would stay good for long. Pixelations all the time. I must have rescanned the TV over a thousand times. Thought of giving up on this flat antenna a few times. Recently I had an epiphany that the best reception would happen only if I was to stand behind the TV holding up the antenna. Kinda difficult for me to watch the TV that way, though. So I decided to buy an inexpensive music stand online, and – Eureka! I found it! The sweet spot. I now have the flat antenna on the music stand located perpendicular to the TV, sitting at 80deg angle, facing the Northwest, and it is all hidden nicely behind the TV in the corner. The past two weeks all my favorite local OTA channels have all stayed crystal clear HD all the time. That would be ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. I get 39 channels total, no pixelations except for a couple of the less significant channels, and I haven't had to get up and adjust the antenna these past two weeks. A music stand? Really!

30 to 50 Mile reception - Philly & NYC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had reasonable reception using the earliest version of the Mohu amplified antenna in a room where the outer wall on the ground floor approximately faced the NYC antennas. I couldn't get equivalent results in the main viewing room on the other side of the house. There were a few, very localized, places in the room where I could get a usable signal, but no one location allowed watching all of my most watched channels. Because I could receive all stations, but not simultaneously, I decided to give the Supreme PRO a try assuming the higher gain would help. As with it's predecessor there were spots in the room that worked reasonably but a movement of a few inches and one or more channels would no longer be received. However, after patching in a 25 foot length of cable and moving all around the room there was a singular spot, on the floor leaning against the bookcase, diagonal to the room's corner, where I suddenly received everything I wanted including two from Philadelphia - 40 to 50 miles away, and all the NYC channels listed on the FCC site, most of which are 35-40 miles away and one is just about 50 miles. The best part is that I have dropped my cable subscription completely saving well over $150 a month. I'm past my 90th birthday and I don't do sports, so being able to watch all four major networks plus 5 PBS channels is all the live feed I need. Besides, there are hundreds of free channels accessed through a Roku stick on Roku/Pluto/Tubi etc. if you want to watch "classic" (ancient) shows. It turns out that my location is "lucky" because if you draw a line from the Philadelphia stations straight through to the NY locations, my house sits almost directly on that line. My house is "aimed" dead on the NS line and the the angled corner location sits on the SW-NE line that connects the two cities.

Clear channels better than I expected!

I get all local channels. Oniy 35 channels. Wish I had a lot more as advertised, but I get local and the picture is great!

For the money, expected more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be upfront , was expecting more. Received the same amount of channels with the supplied cheap antenna that came with TV. Actually, was able to draw in Fox local channel where the Mohu failed. 30 miles from Philadelphia, rural location in NJ.

My product did not function as I thought it would.

I am sad to say it, but this antenna did not handle very well, especially when compared to my current cheap antenna. I believe it might be something I did or maybe the place we live. There is a decent amount of trees and only a couple of close TV towers. Sadly this antenna isn't much of an improvement, and it might even be worse. The biggest problem I have is poor video or video cutting repeatedly. This site isn't bad at all, I just made a poor purchase and choose not to see if I can have it returned. Thank you.

Antenna didn't pick up a single channel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cheap temu antenna picked up 16 channels in my area. However, with moving the antenna all over the house, high and at window, this antenna didn't even pick up one.

Do NOT waste your time or money, total garbage

What a joke! It arrives in the box folded in half with no hope of flattening it out. The LED “positioning” lights are total bs, they're all green no matter where you put it. I threw it under the bed and it still registered all green. I got less channels than my cheap old $20 antenna.

Did not work

Did not work at all and returned the product. I have at least 4 stations well within the 65 mile range but the antenna did not pick up any of them. I suspect these work better in urban areas not rural.

Purchased to upgrade from basic insignia model that I purchased for 25 dollars. This unit was twice as large and did not pull in more channels or improve picture quality at more than twice the price. Size made it useless for in window use.
