I absolutely love this keyboard! The keys are pretty high, which I prefer, most keyboards now are really low profile keys. The lights are nice and bright but I love that you can change the brightness with the dial right on the keyboard.this would make a perfect gift for any PC gamer. I spent 15 years playing PC games and by far this is my favorite keyboard.
This keyboard is my smile when i have to use a desktop. It is so much more enjoyable to stay stationary when i can look at these colors. You can program it to be any color you want or multiple colors. Thete are even different patterns. Super easy to use and program what you want it to do.
Keyboard is pretty cool. Light 20 different patterns of lights to choose from. Shortcut keys on the keyboard to change the light patterns. You can also change the brightness using the knob on top right. That knob can also control the volume. Not only can u control the pattern of the keys, you can also change the light settings on the sides of the keyboard as well. In addition to this there is also a software you can download to further customize your keyboard. Thise additional software is not needed, available for addition features/patterns. The wrist guard is magnetically attached to the keyboard. It's easy to remove, but also stays in place when needed. There are also manual raisers, tabs that you flip down to incline your keyboard. Overall, not bad. Good choice.
Love this keyboard. It's sleek and raises up in the back just right for comfortable typing. The magnetic palm rest is comfortable, too. The best feature is the lights. If your keyboard is on a pull-out tray underneath a desk, it lights up all the keys so you can see them. You can choose the color you want, and control the volume from the keyboard. Also comes with a tool that allows you to switch the keys around. Very happy with it, and would recommend.
I can't say for sure how much faster response time this gaming mechanical keyboard it over a non gaming Logitech wireless keyboard (both 2.5Ghz or Bluetooth), but I like it and it seems to offer better response time in FPS games. The LED color lighting is great using the Monster Software, I have set the key lighting for WASD lighting. Overall I am impressed with this keyboard. My only gripe is that the keyboard is loud. The magnetic hand rest is a great idea, and it pretty comfortable coming from the Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard (which I still use). The layout if fine, but I am used to the K860 so I keep HITTING THE CAPS LOCK.
I am still getting used to the keys on this thing. The typing is quite noisy so if you don't mind that then go for it. It is well built and there is a wide variety of color options available without loading their app. Love the palm rest which magnetically attaches to the keyboard.
I gave my techie teenage son this keyboard to test out for me and wow the feedback is nothing but positive!! The switches, he says, suit his personality because they are nice and quite just like him lol. He especially loves the RGB and the different program settings that it comes with. He loves the media keys and the magnetic palm rest. He spends a lot of time on his gaming computer and when the keyboard goes out the gaming goes out; this keyboard looks and feels like it will last a very long time for him!
I got this gaming keyboard to try out, mainly because the keys all light up pretty cool. I let my adult grandson hook it up to get his opinion too, since I'm not very computer savvy. He said, that for gaming, it either has to do something, or it didn't have a certain function. So we put it on my desktop iMac and it works just fine. As long as it'll type and wotk like a regular keyboard, I'm happy wirh it!
I ordered the Monster Alpha 5.0 LED Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for a new gaming rig I built. The keyboard is designed nicely and comes with a magnetic palm rest. The keyboard also has some weight to it making it feel solid and durable. You have to download the software from their website which allows you three custom profiles. The instructions for changing the colors are pretty easy but trying to figure out how to have solid colors took a little time to figure out. The five gaming LED modes are a nice feature as well... just the set of keys you use light up. The software is pretty easy to use setting up keys. I'm a big fan for mechanical keyboards and the Monster Alpha 5.0 is very responsive and works well with my games. One thing that this keyboard is lacking though would be there are no built in USB ports. My gaming tower is in a cabinet and I use a wireless mouse. On my older keyboards, I used the built in USB ports for my mouse receiver. Its not a deal breaker but every gaming keyboard I've owned had USB ports... guess I could get a new wired Monster gaming mouse. This may be a software issue but the multimedia keys do not work on the keyboard. Overall, nice keyboard for gaming. Hope there is an update soon to fix the multimedia keys.
I got this for my son who plays a couple of serious games on his computer. pros - keys light up fully, no darkness - many customizable options - easy to use media keys that are separate from function keys - quiet keys - haven't noticed any ghosting - easy to remove wrist rest cons - some keys wiggle and not quiet (typical for larger keys) - wrist rest is uncomfortable - just plastic, no cushioning, so longer periods of game play are uncomfortable. This is magnetic and can be removed and replaced with something else. - when keyboard is using tilt mount, there isn't any grippers on the tilting legs, causing the keyboard to slide easily on hard surfaces. you'll need a keyboard mat if you want tilted keyboard Overall, there are better keyboards out there. I also think this one is a little pricey considering the quality of it.
