attached to my mailbox post and it is bright and does it's job flawlessly. Just bought a second for my home in florida
I just received the Moonrays 91919 Solar Powered LED Address Sign yesterday. Upon first inspection after opening box I was immediately impressed with the quality of this sign. It is made of a heavy duty black plastic. I used the enclosed filigree decoration on each side. The filigree just snaps into the pre drilled holes. I removed the clear plastic battery tab to activate the battery and mine came fully charged. I went into a windowless closet and it came right on. This morning the light is very bright after having on for 10 hours overnight. In fact it is so bright you would think it is plugged into a electrical plug. The post comes in 3 sections as shown but you could use only 2 to make it shorter. In order to have the beveled base sit flush to ground you probably would have to dig a hole to loosen the soil first before setting the post. The screws to attach to a wooden mailbox post are included but I did not use. Also my address contains the letter B which is not included with the numbers and letters provided. I stopped by Lowes and purchased 3 inch black vinyl stick on die cut letters and numbers. They are just a little bigger than the ones provided with the light and as you can see work just fine. Moonrays states in the instructions that the LED bulb will last 100,000 hours or more. They also state the rechargeable battery is replaceable. Since I am a new owner of the address light I can only hope this will last a long time as I really like it. Day or night anyone will easily be able to find my home now.
Wasn't sure if this would work for us since we live in the country. I worried about it being seen from the road but we found the right pace for it.
We are very pleased with this solar powered LED address sign light. It's easy to see at night, and during the day, the sign light (which we have vertically in the ground, with optional filigrees attached, to match the mailbox) is still very easy to read.
Definitely figure out where/how you want the sign (horizonal or vertical) before putting numbers on it. And underneath base is a tiny tab you have to pull (for battery connection). It works and it is easy to see during the day and lit up bright for the night.
I leave in an area that is considered rural. This light up address marker gives me the confidence that should I every need emergency help or services they can find the way to me easily. The gentle glow at night is just bright enough to be noticed and not overpowering. And during the daytime the numbers are large enough to be noticed by passerbys.
Love it! Worth the $$$
A good way to light up your address, unfortunately the position I need it does not get direct sunlight.. but still lights up for a short while before dimming out.
It's okay. So far - if there's not too much cloud cover - it lights brightly enough for several hours at night. All plastic, and sturdy enough. I paid $19.50 and was willing to pay that again for a second light ad a housewarming gift. But now they want $35???? No. Way.
Cheaply made & not the best quality but it should do the job. I hope it holds up to the weather here in South Carolina.
