The purchase was very simple. The order arrived promptly. It was exactly as I ordered. Ordered because my store seems to have quit stocking this particular number of the Mopar filters. My vehicle has never had another brand of filter. So I wanted to continue the use of the Mopar filter.
I know other aftermarket brands have features that are attractive, but even with superior filtering, longer life, grippy surfaces, or promoted brands, the spec for filtering AND flow must be considered. I choose to use OEM filters and change every 5k with the specified fully synthetic oil.
Appears to be a correct Mopar manufactured item and is five dollars cheaper than the dealer. I have used this in the past and seems to work fine. Application is a 2014 Challenger with 5.7 hemi engine. Packaging is very thin cardboard so shipping and stocking can easily damage carton which can cause dirt to enter filter.
This Mopar specific oil filter is the only one I'll install on my Sebring. Walmart has a better price than the dealership.
i would like to say there is nothing like a good price and going original equipment but i just wish they would do a better job packaging this oil filter because came in open.
Factory Mopar oil filter it was it 7.28 less. then a year ago and I've jumped up to 7.88 and now it is jumping up to 9.79 for an oil filter. The stores never have it in stock.
They were exactly what was sent but the boxes each of them were in were in horrible shape. One didn't even have a bottom. It did effect the actual item just not impressed with shape of the packaging.
Product arrived damaged, boxes were trashed and filters were dented. Probably couldn't sell them off the shelf so they shipped them out. Highly disappointed.
Boxes of oil filters were shipped in a bag. Broken open, fill of paper. Oil filters are useless now.
Could have been good if they weren't already open and actually MOPAR filters. One may or may not be but being that it was already open I'm not trusting it and returning them both. No more buying from walmart for such an important part.
