The taste and texture is much better. I did bake them a little longer for more crunch and they did not dry out. I love the resealable bag instead of the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to say that I am impressed by the look and scent of this protein product. It's looks just like a typical chicken patty. The flavor is there as it's a little salty with a crispy exterior. On initial bite, it wasn't for me but that's because I am a texture person. It is not the same kinda chewy texture of a normal chicken patty. I definitely think it can be passed off onto someone not as familiar with patties or used to a different plant based product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pretty surprised about these. Often times “meat” patties have a weird after taste to them. These are pretty darn close to the real thing. The breading is nice, we did them in the oven so it came out nice and crispy. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the packaging. Please find a non plastic way to package your products.
My family and I have been eating these for years. I purchased these yesterday. I didn't notice the new recipe sign on the packaging. But as we began eating we noticed they tasted funny they do not taste at all like the ones we are used to. Although the package says it's a new and improved recipe it is far from improved. The recipe shouldn't have been changed it was fine just the way it was. My child couldn't even finish it. Needless to say we're very disappointed in the new recipe.
Morningstar Farms "Original Chick'n Patties" and not the original anymore. I have been eating these for more than a decade. Today I it smelled off coming out of the microwave. GARLICKY. Yuck! Then I look and across the top where the bag closes, I notice the wrinkled plastic has writing - "NEW IMPROVED RECIPE". I have pancreas issues and could eat the old recipe - but now all I can taste is the garlic, onion and spices, which do not agree with me. Never will buy again. Morningstar Farms has declined so much since Kellogg's bought them.
I fear this company made a huge mistake with changing the patty and nugget recipes, everyone i know who uses this product hates the new recipe and is no longer buying the product. I decided to try both the patty and nuggets and both ended in the trash. Loved the old recipe, this new one lost everything i loved aboutbthe product. First off the flavor/smell is very foul and off putting. The texture has lost all the nice crunch on the outside and the inside is very wet and lacks texture in any way. Im never buying this product again unless I see the old recipe somewhere.
The "new & improved" version is disgusting. It smelled like feces when I heated it in the microwave. I've been buying & eating these for years with no problems but I won't be buying them again.
Used to really enjoy these, the new recipe is horrible unfortunately.
