I have been buying Morning Star Farms breakfast sausage for the past six months or so and have come to like it more than pork sausage. It's easy to prepare, has fewer calories and less fat than the pork sausage.
I've been eating these for a couple of years now. I'm a meat eater but decided to try these for a healthier alternative. They worked out really well for breakfast. I do prefer a bit of spice to sausage so I always add a couple squirts of hot sauce on top after microwaving. I also use these to make GrandpaMcMuffins using a can of big biscuits that have been previously baked and frozen. The frozen biscuit is cut in half and toasted in toaster oven with slice of 2% cheese added during last minute, microwaved veggie sausage, splash hot sauce, mustard, and a pickle. Five minutes later my GrandpaMcMuffing is ready to go with NO cleanup.
Pretty good. Theyâre a bit dry, but with some jam, itâs a good alternative to sausage patties. Iâm not vegan/vegetarian but I am trying to eat more plant based. Iâve purchased these multiple times and will continue to do so
First time purchase. Made biscuits and gravy. Wish there was more vegis in the ingredients. Taste was ok. Planning on trying in a pasta sauce.
I have to be honest here, i bought these once as a mistake in 2019. I was frying them up and had no clue they were plant based. They actually had a better taste than the ones i had formerly been buying that were meat taste. I believe the ones i had been buying were great value. Anyways i forget why we stopped getting them, maybe it was the price but i just bought some today. I'm hoping they are still as good as i remember but i've been seeing some reviews saying they changed the recipe. I guess we will have to taste and see tomorrow. Check back soon for my opinion.
Yuck!!! the taste was disgusting, it was over cooked, dry, unfavorable. will never purchase it again, never, ever!!! did i say never. what a waste of $8
I used to eat these every single day for about 8 years. Recipe changed maybe a year ago and they replaced the egg white with gluten and they taste nasty. Bag says original recipe, which is a lie. Please, Morningstar, read these reviews and listen to your customers! We knew they weren't vegan. Vegetarians are like 1% of society, and vegans are 1% of that! Please, I really miss these and will never buy another Morningstar product again until I hear these changed back.
I had these sent to my 83 year old mother from her local Walmart in Summerville, SC. She called me to let me know that they made her very ill. I have food sent to her because she has trouble driving. This is very upsetting! The frozen pizza from the same delivery also made her ill,but not other frozen items.
The old recipe with egg products was excellent. The current recipe is mushy and horrible. Yes, I have gone back to meat products at times since the change. These are not the “original”. That's false advertising. New “mushy” formula would be spot on.
I did not like these. I was just trying for a healthier options for breakfast. This doesn't taste like food. It doesn't have a texture like food. I should have read the ingredients first. There is nothing VEGGIE about this.
