I love this baby monitor! You can swap between the two cameras and the video is so good you can see your baby breathing! I highly recommend it if you are in the market for one.
it works really well the only problem I am having is to getting the second camera to show up on the monitor other than that it works like a charm and I love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Baby monitors are a must for anyone with kids. I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived and I could see how large the screen is! It's so easy to see what's going on with such a large screen. It's easy to set up, plug and play. It took about two minutes to have it ready to go. Each monitor camera can be moved independently from the other. Just hit the button that looks like the camera first and then move it with the arrows. The camera can swivel rather far so you can see all of the rooms. The picture quality is clear and the night vision works great. I like that I can use it both as a night time monitor or move it around so I can keep an eye on the kids when they play. Over all great quality and it works well to keep the kids safely within sight. The music on them is a lot quieter than I expected, it comes across the hand held loud enough but on the monitor it is soft so it won't scare the baby, just a soft background noise if needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This baby monitor is full of features and gives me peace of mind in taking care of my young ones. The double child/camera units allows flexibility in having them in multiple rooms and not having to move them often. The video and audio quality is very smooth and reliable. The night vision camera quality is pretty good as well for low light settings. I like that you can do split screens or rotate displays. I can pan and zoom the camera remotely. How cool! Definitely a high quality product and highly recommended!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Motorola baby monitor comes with two cameras and one video monitor. The video monitor is fairly large with a 4.3 inch screen and can be split screen for each camera if need be. The video monitor says it should be charged for 16 hours initially before use and then able to use as normal. The set comes with three charging cords, one for each device. The set can be used to watch baby (or other kids) and you are able to use it to 2-way talk. The monitor is very clear and you can move the cameras if you need by pushing "OK" on the monitor then using the arrows right below that button to direct where you'd like the camera to go. I pushed "OK" again after to "set" the camera and clear the arrows that popped up on the monitor screen, as well, but I'm not sure if you need to or if it would eventually time out. You can use it single or split screen if you have both cameras set up. The top of the video screen shows the temperature, sound on, and connection. The screen will go dark after a bit on silence and not crying but can pop up if you tap a button. I do wish the screen would stay on a bit longer before going dark. The monitor has a little kickstand on the back to keep it upright and it also has an antenna that can be flipped up. To use the two way talk, there's a button on the monitor that looks like a microphone. You hold the microphone button while talking to the person and they can hear you. It doesn't cut out or skip and sounds very clear, too. There is a sound button on the monitor where you can play music on the camera. The set is secure as it's not wifi connected, doesn't go through a cloud, or hit any servers. It is all streamed locally. The cameras both have a little microphone hanging off of them on the back side. Each camera also has a "pair" push button if you need to pair the camera to the monitor but it should already be connected. Each camera has its own “on” and “off” switch as well. Overall, these cameras are very nice and the monitor is easy to use.
I'm writing this review because I've seen several saying that this item doesn't offer split screen and it actually does. I'm not sure if those people were just unable to find it in the settings but it exists and I love it. I've only had this set for about a month now but so far so good! I love that I can pan around the rooms and even look up and down to a certain extent. The night vision is great as well! What I don't like is that the battery life for the monitor sucks! It lasts about 4hrs away from the plug but aside from that it's not bad at all for the price. I exchanged a similar model that didn't pan for this one because the camera went out on it after the 1st day, so I'm definitely pleased with this purchase.
For the price, this is a great dual baby monitor. We just had our second baby and needed two cameras instead of just one, so we replaced our Infant Optics (way overpriced in my opinion). Things we love: Incredibly easy to set up and use. Ability to do split screen viewing. Displays temperatures for both cameras. Price. Quality of materials. All 3 cords (2 for cameras, 1 for monitor unit) are the same, so you can interchange them. Relatively good battery life of monitor when not plugged in. Video quality and sound are adequate. Things that could be improved: Bright blue light on camera units can be pretty distracting at night for little ones (although ours have gotten used to them). Not much range for scanning up and down, so you have to use trial and error when setting your cameras up to get them in the right spots. Wish there were separate buttons on monitor for volume, brightness, and scrolling instead of just using the four-point arrow button for all three and having to remember which does which. You cannot hear both children simultaneously while in split-screen mode (you have to scroll back and forth to listen to one at a time). About a half second of lag for video and sound. When the battery gets low on the monitor unit, it beeps really loudly every 30ish seconds and there is no option to turn the feature off like we could on the Infant Optics. The things that could be improved are definitely not deal-breakers for us. For the price, you just cant beat it. It does the job well and overall we prefer it over the Infant Optics as a two-camera system. Easier to set up, better battery life, much more affordable.
I recently moved my elderly parents into a mobile home about 500 feet from my back yard...the product info said the range would go up to 1000 ft....unless you have a straight unobstructed range it will not....I did finally get the system to work by putting the camera in their house close to their wall facing my house and the base in a window facing their house....It's not the best but it's working for what I need it to do.
We bought this in store and ended up returning it a few hrs later. We had bought this product because the box says âsplit screen viewingâ all over the box...which is what we needed the monitor for. We got it home and tried figuring out how to split screen the cameras. We then called the manufacturer to see what we were doing wrong. They informed us that the monitor does NOT have the ability to split screen the cameras and they knew about the misprint. Needless to say that the product was a very big disappointment and the manufacturer phone call was even more disappointing.
I could only reach about 500 feet with the receiver and one of the cameras does not work. I am going to have to call the company and see what they will do about it.
