This is actually the 3rd exact monitor we've purchased for various reasons, (loss, water damage) and I keep going back to this one. Walmart has the best price, the view on the TV is wide enough to cover the entire crib. Great piece of baby equipment.
I bought this monitor for my son and daughter in law to keep an eye on the new baby. It work's wonderfully. The screen is very clear and the speakers pick up every whimper. We love it!
I make the best present to my sister in low for the baby because they monitor the baby always is very good and safe!
I bought this monitor after we moved our 18-month-old into a toddler bed. I wanted to make sure she wasn't getting up and walking around the room after bedtime. Despite some poor reviews, I decided to purchase this monitor because it was the cheapest available with a portable parent unit. I love it! The video quality is about what I expected. It's a little bit better than a 4D ultrasound picture. It's in black and white because it's infrared, but I have no problem seeing my daughter in the picture. I really like the parent talkback button. It's much better for my daughter to hear me tell her to lay back down than to go into the room and disrupt her. We have never used the lullaby feature because she's a bit older, but maybe down the line with another baby we'll try it. The battery life on the parent unit could be better (1.5-2 hours) but I have no problem charging it while using it. I also really like that the volume shuts off after a minute or so of silence or white noise - no more listening to static and feedback! In all, I am very happy with this product. My husband and I actually wish we had bought one sooner!
