Very nice, must have works as described. It depends on your home connection (internet or internet + cable boxes) if you got verizon fios internet you can use this and your personal router, will save you money on renting their router. I got verizon fios internet and cable, I connected this box to my personal router via LAN, to the cable box via coaxial (using coaxial splitter for multiple cable boxes), to the modem directly. I also called verizon so they can release IP address.
Obsolete technology because Verizon FIOS stopped investing in newer Optical Modems. Customers usually can't go beyond MOCA 1.1 (175 m/bits) because of these old Optical Modems. Such a failure. This technology should be invested in, because it is easy to wire a house with coaxial and ethernet switches, rather than putting a dozen RJ-45 wires all over the house.
Works great, simple installation. Let me get rid of renting Verizons Router, saves $15 a month when you own your own router
Very easy to use, just plug and play. I connected two of these out of the box and they worked without issue. They add about 3ms of latency, but that beats wifi or fishing a cat-6 cable through my old walls.
Works great, very fast and stable, no connection drops. If you have issues, make sure you check your coax splitters as moca mainly uses 1.1 - 1.65GHz frequencies. Get 2.4GHz non powered splitters and you won't have any issues. You can also bypass your main powered splitter if you have one (Xfinity uses these), which I had to do, and split your cable modem line and the other line you want to use. Really depends on your specific setup, but definitely check what you have to ensure these will work. Also, check if your router supports moca, if it does, you'll need only 1 adapter, if not you'll need 2 of these adapters.
Purchased 2 units. One from fiber modem/router connected to home coax system. The other unit went from coax outlet to wifi router. Had problem making connection until I checked the supplied RJ45 cables, and one was no good. Replaced the cable and everything worked like it should. The Motorola website has the cable check instructions.
This is my 3rd one. I love it. I can use MoCA for Spectrum internet without any difficulty. I pop up the MoCA, hook it up and DONE. Now I have a stable internet access, and use maximum download speed from Spectrum.
Hurray!!!!! It works!! With the stay at home work situation it seemed that our video conferencing connections weren't that great. Plugged these in and it's perfect!!
Used it to replace my old fios modem with a new Wifi 6 router, worked like a charm, plug and play, no setup required
The device allows the internet signal to reach the TVs so caller ID, video on demand, and other features work correctly. Install easy with YouTube videos.
