Description

This bonded 2.0 MoCA Adapter is a great choice if you want to use your home's coaxial cable wiring to provide a high-speed reliable Ethernet connection between your router and a remote device. Use the MM1000 to connect your router to an HDTV, computer, game station, wireless extender, or other device with an Ethernet port. The MM1000 offers dependable speeds up to 1,000 Mbps, typically much faster and more reliable than Wi-Fi, and uses the same coax cable as your TV and/or Internet.

You need MoCA capability built into your router or provided to the router by a MoCA Adapter. Most FiOS routers have MoCA capability, but most other routers need a MoCA Adapter such as the MM1000. You need a MoCA Adapter for each device you want to connect to the router using MoCA. You can connect up to 16 devices back to your router. A MoCA Adapter is easy to install, with no need for configuring the MoCA Adapter or re-configuring your router. Your MoCA Adapter works with coax networks for cable TV, cable Internet, and FiOS or another fiber optic network. It does NOT work with DirectTV®, Dish®, and other satellite networks, or with AT&T® Internet or AT&T U-Verse®. Speeds up to 1,000 Mbps! Bonded MoCA 2.0 beats wireless for speed, latency, reliability, and security. Actual speeds may be lower than 1,000 Mbps when connecting to slower MoCA Adapters or when using slower Internet services. Transmits over the same coax cables in your home as your cable TV or fiber-optic service, with no interference. Does not work with satellite, AT&T® Internet, and AT&T U-verse® coax networks. You need MoCA capability built into your router or provided to the router by a MoCA Adapter. Most FiOS routers have MoCA capability, but most other routers and modem/routers need a MoCA Adapter. You need a MoCA Adapter for each device you want to connect back to the router using MoCA. You can connect up to 16 remote devices back to your router using MoCA. Interoperable with MoCA 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, and 2.5 Easy plug-in setup using Quick Start, with no need for configuring the MoCA Adapter or re-configuring your router 3 status-reporting LEDs - Power, LAN, and Link Ruggedized lightning and power surge circuits protect your investment. Product dimensions: 4 7/8" wide x 3 1/8" deep x 1 1/8" tall (124 mm x 80 mm x 30 mm) Models available with US, UK, or European power cube Coax Network Requirements The MM1000 is designed to work with most coax networks including networks associated with cable TV, cable Internet, and FiOS or another fiber optic network. The MoCA Adapter is NOT designed to work with DirectTV®, Dish®, and other satellite networks, or with AT&T® Internet or AT&T® U-Verse, since these services use frequencies that conflict with the MoCA Adapter. A MoCA installation needs a coaxial cable near your router and near any Ethernet-capable device that you want to connect to the router. Includes phone and web support by friendly, professional USA-based technical support specialists

Very nice, must have works as described. It depends on your home connection (internet or internet + cable boxes) if you got verizon fios internet you can use this and your personal router, will save you money on renting their router. I got verizon fios internet and cable, I connected this box to my personal router via LAN, to the cable box via coaxial (using coaxial splitter for multiple cable boxes), to the modem directly. I also called verizon so they can release IP address.

Obsolete technology because Verizon FIOS stopped investing in newer Optical Modems. Customers usually can't go beyond MOCA 1.1 (175 m/bits) because of these old Optical Modems. Such a failure. This technology should be invested in, because it is easy to wire a house with coaxial and ethernet switches, rather than putting a dozen RJ-45 wires all over the house.

Works great, simple installation. Let me get rid of renting Verizons Router, saves $15 a month when you own your own router

Easy to use, low latency

Very easy to use, just plug and play. I connected two of these out of the box and they worked without issue. They add about 3ms of latency, but that beats wifi or fishing a cat-6 cable through my old walls.

Very fast and stable, way better than WiFi

Reviewed in the USA on 2020-10-13T17:00:00

Works great, very fast and stable, no connection drops. If you have issues, make sure you check your coax splitters as moca mainly uses 1.1 - 1.65GHz frequencies. Get 2.4GHz non powered splitters and you won't have any issues. You can also bypass your main powered splitter if you have one (Xfinity uses these), which I had to do, and split your cable modem line and the other line you want to use. Really depends on your specific setup, but definitely check what you have to ensure these will work. Also, check if your router supports moca, if it does, you'll need only 1 adapter, if not you'll need 2 of these adapters.

Worked like I expected

Purchased 2 units. One from fiber modem/router connected to home coax system. The other unit went from coax outlet to wifi router. Had problem making connection until I checked the supplied RJ45 cables, and one was no good. Replaced the cable and everything worked like it should. The Motorola website has the cable check instructions.

The device allows the internet signal to reach the TVs so caller ID, video on demand, and other features work correctly. Install easy with YouTube videos.
