Easy to use and I love the large screen! Very clear and easy to view and read on it. Some of the new swipe features took a couple days to master, but they are amazingly convenient. This is our 4th MOTO phone and we impressed with each one.
I bought this a few weeks ago and am happy to report that it works flawlessly. Its worth the money. A great value in my humble opinion.
Had this phone for 3 weeks now and I love it. I love how easy to use it is and all the apps that show me how to use. I really love how much I paid for it and it didn't kill my wallet, when the time comes to upgrade I will be getting another Motorola phone.
I love this phone! It's the third one I've bought (after breaking the screens on the first two). When I was getting ready to replace the second one, I debated about buying a more expensive model, figuring I was missing something by buying the entry-level model. But when I did an Internet search on Motorola phone reviews, I discovered that this model had the highest rating.
it was a little slow, but then it's not a top rank phone. the only real prob is the battery died. lasted from april to october. and it's thoroughly sealed in so no easy swap out for me. now i have to wait until i can afford to replace it. but yes, i would not have a problem getting another one. at least this time.
I don't intend to use this phone for more than as a backup phone and some basic banking app functions and web surfing when my regular laptop is unavailable. For this, it is adequate, there are a few things in which I am disappointed. One big one, is the fact that Motorola has failed to make the Android 11 update ready to install on the Moto G Play and there is no timeline or even a date when the Android 11 update will be ready, which frankly, is unacceptable. I know this is not a flagship phone but it not the cheapest phone out there either. C'mon Motorola, there are phones that are already getting Android 12, make this right, people just may contact the FTC and Consumer Protections Bureau, if you continue to break your promise. The teardrop camera is a drag and shouldn't be there as it interferes with video, particularly when in full-screen. Otherwise, the actual sound and video quality is very good. Battery power is decent, so far...if you are a heavy user of video, particularly graphics intensive video, this is probably not the phone for you. Also, the back of the phone is a fingerprint magnet-- get a screen protector (I just ordered a pack) and a case, unless you want to spent a lot of time cleaning like I have been doing. If you need a decent phone, that looks reasonably up to date but don't need many extras that deviate from the basic functions of a phone and you don't care about having timely software updates (which, to be honest, is likely kinda dangerous) this may be a good phone for you.
The phone is cute and the option of color adds to the product. However, the product is far from the every day use. Unfortunately, the moto g play 2021 does not have enough memory for the simplest apps. For this reason, this product is not good, definitely for an adult or teen that love the freedom of apps and emails, camera is not great. The price is good a for a young child or senior citizen not looking to maximize the use of the phone. This is a no go!
after less than a week my new phone started to change format and became harder to use and let spam caller in that later messed with my credit and it started talking out loud and blocking any actions I did .I had to go back to my old Moto phone. how do i return this thing? i have a 2 year warrinty
I bought this to replace a moto g7, just for the size! I'm older and need a large screen. I ordered a nice protective case, thought I had it all set up, it looked good! Till I went to use it! Then the he'll began!!! I fought w/ that phone for 3 days and never could get it to works right!! I tried diff. SIM cards, everything! I'm back w/ g7 and of course its too late to send back, I guess!! I tried to get in touch w/ customer support and all I got was I've reached an error!!!!! Boy are they right!!! Don't think ill stick w/ Moto again!!!
This is my 7th moto and my first complaint. The screen is too dim for videos. I have to keep brightness set at 90-100%. All my previous moto models were bright enough at 60-70% to hurt my light sensitive eyes. Also, video quality is usually poor and often buffers. Pop up notices indicate this device works best on wifi, not mobile data. It will not even finish updates without wifi. I can't recommend this device.
