Detailed product description

Mp25dv 12-Digit Ribbon Printing Calculator, Black/red Print, 4.3 Lines/sec

Slide-out Quick Reference Guide. Luminous Fluorescent Display Is Brighter Than Lcd In Low Light. Canon Mp25dvs. Amazon.com Canon's heavy-duty MP25D desktop printing calculator is an indispensable tool for demanding offices, providing a range of functions for quick math calculations and figuring finances. You have two ways to review your calculations--the large display or the two-color printout. A 12-character display and special function keys will also increase your accuracy. The MP25D's function keys include markup/markdown, delta percent, grand total, multiple decimal point positions, item count, and non-add print. The numeral keys are large and easy to read, and you can keep running totals as you enter data. Use the rounding function to automatically round your results up, down, or off by a specified number of digits. Calculate taxes with a prestored tax rate. The MP25D provides all the basics of calculation: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, constant multiplication, division and percentage calculations, percentage add-on, and discount calculations. A two-color printer produces crisp characters, with negative numbers appearing in red and positive in black. The Canon MP25D desktop printing calculator is designed to print on standard 2-1/4-inch rolls of plain paper at 3.6 lines per second. You can switch printing off to conserve ink.

Locks up repeatedly

As the office manager of a small business I needed a new calculator and Canon always seemed to be a reliable product for me. Not this time. Within about a month the keys would lock up and I'd have to turn it off and back on to get anything to work. Some days it seems to lock up more than want to actually work. I wouldn't recommend this model to anyone. When I'm running long tapes of numbers and it freezes up it wastes a huge amount of my time. I hate to ask the boss for a new one when this is only 6 months old. Such a waste of money. Otherwise I like it's functions and feel.

I am having the same problem as "Payroll" who wrote the first review. Mine is also sticking. I have to turn it off and on in order to make it work. It has gotten really bad in the past few weeks. I use it daily and need it very much. I need a strong calculator with tape capability for my business.

Canon was once my go to calculator, but the quality just isn't their anymore. We use 6 of these calculators at my store and all of the cheap plastic paper tears break. Paper stops feeding in 2 and buttons stick on another. I give them a break with one or two not 6 calculators. These are suppose to heavy duty. No more till they change their design. Maybe not even then.

Very disappointed with this product

In the last six months I have purchased 2 of these calculators for myself. Although I love the layout and featurs of this product, I have had problems with the subtract button sticking on both of the calculators. I exchanged the first one hoping it was a problem with only that one. I do not watch the keys/screen when using the calculator, therefore I am never sure when the button becomes stuck which causes me to have to start over with my work. I will be returning the second one in the near future.

Bad Purchase

I am a faithful Canon calculator purchaser. I run a payroll company and it is vital that I can trust my equipment. The machines goes to "sleep" in the middle of entering data. The keys stick. Paper feed may or may not work, really depends on it's mood. Canon has lost my loyalty. As I can not afford to have faulty equipment and stay in business.

Waste of Money

I have always used a Canon calculator so when I needed a new one I didn't hesitate to buy this. I wish I had bought something else. The #4 key sticks terribly and when putting in repetitive numbers it quite often gets stuck and puts in more than I intend. I think this will go to junk pile. Not even goodwill because it's worthless.

Poor product

I bought this one about 1 month ago as a replacement for another older Canon. What a difference! Now this is much more cheaply made with smaller keys. For me, it is much harder to get a good feel with it. And it turns itself off in "energy saver mode" so you always have to start by hitting the clear key to wake it up. Not at all efficient! So Sorry I got this.

I have used this same older model of calculator in my business of bookkeeping in the past and have always been very happy but not anymore. Am using it at home (not much use) and it started falling apart quite quickly Stuck keys or inoperable keys. Will Canon stand behind their product?

The worst calculator I have ever purchased

This is the 2nd of the MP25DV that I have purchased. I would not have gotten a 2nd, if there had been anything else. You need to run all your totals at least 2 times, because the machine sticks and then adds the number twice. The subtract key sticks constantly. They are willing to replace it, with the same thing--who would want another one. Save yourself all the frustration and the time, by getting something else.

I have used Canon calculators/adding machines for years. I purchased 2 of these (MP25DV) within a month of each other for 2 different businesses and both of them are terrible. The keys stick CONSTANTLY which causes figures to be ran numerous times and/or single keys such as clear, etc. to be hit numerous times to even clear out an incorrect function that has been entered. I am VERY disappointed with this product! My work is taking me twice as long because I'm having to redo every total I get because of the keys sticking. This poor design is extremely inefficient and very frustrating to say the least.
