Nady is known for making good audio equipment, and this pop filter is no exception. I purchased the metal one. There is also a fiber model available.
Works very well!
I have an Audio Technica condenser mic that stands on the Tripod that it came with. I can attach this filter to one end of those tripod legs and have it adhere decently. But it took me a while to come up with this configuration. Its a solid filter- no questions about that. But it's very heavy, very large compared to my last pop filter-(got delivered in a box about two pizza boxes in length!) and sometimes when in use the clamp needs tightened. Also the metal on the edges of the filter is NOT SMOOTH- so it can catch on fabrics, carpeting, sheets, etc. Basically if you're looking for a solid but simple pop filter, this one is a great choice- just be aware its heavy so you may want to use a mic stand if you don't already have one. That and a portable sound booth will be my next purchases!
Just spit on the mic. It won't matter with this splatter.
