Yes, of course they are too good to be true. I think I paid either 5 or 10 bucks for these mitts so I really can't complain, but if you are serious about boxing or hitting mitts then I would spend the extra money. These are good for a movie prop or children's toy but any kind of sustained combinations will result in the mitts going flying on a good hook or uppercut. There is no way to keep them on save taping of some kind, there is no strap to speak of and your fingers slide in but not tightly at all. Also, they are not curved. Disappointed in my purchase? Not really, wasn't expecting much and they delivered on that front.
