I got 2. To block my kitchen they work great easy to eather step over or release and put back quick and they look nice.
I'd been looking for several weeks for a gate that would be both secure and easy to manuever...this is the one! It has an easy lock system (most important) and is very sturdy. I also needed a tension gate (didn't want to drill into the banister and wall). This has everything I needed, and I'm so happy I found it. I need it for my grandson who isn't here on a daily basis, so not sure about durability...but this suits my needs perfectly. I had to get a banister gate kit for one side, but if it's just going between two walls...all the better.
The adjustable bar is very easy to use without having to remessure every time I need to put the gate up. Also really liked the color scheme.
I have been using it for about a week, it was easy instillation was very easy! I love how sturdy and they well it adheres to the door frame. No complain as of yet!
I had to return this gate since it wouldn't work on our stairs because of the 'spindle style' railing. Perhaps if BOTH sides are FLAT surfaces, it may work perfectly well. Just not on our stair opening. Although I'd have had to return it anyway since there was a piece broken when I opened the box. And, even if it hadn't been broken and had fit with my stair opening, I'm not sure I would have liked it anyway. It just didn't seem that 'sturdy and reliable' - seemed a bit on the flimsy side to me and that it could be pushed to easily and loose its suction against the wall. Perhaps if it was used on stairs that were going UP, and not DOWN, it might be OK. I don't know, I'm just not sure I would have kept it after trying it out in a doorway even - it just didn't quite 'catch' strongly enough, so was pretty sure that even if it fit at our stairway opening which was going DOWN, I wouldn't have kept it.
