The stool was very simple to put together - it took me less than 10 minutes despite having to unscrew and reposition a couple pieces. (It was my fault I had to reposition them, not the directions. I didn't pay attention to how they were oriented when I screwed in the bolts.) The stool is solid wood, so it's nice and sturdy. It says not to use it for toddlers over 40lbs, but I assume that's because the adjustable bolts can't hold more than that. I would feel comfortable standing on it in a flat position.
If you haven't nursed before, and are wondering why you'd need a nursing stool, you need it. Being able to have your legs up and supported when holding baby for feedings rather than on your tip toes makes a huge difference for comfort and milk flow. Get the stool.

Can't beat this little one , sturdy and functions great. The fact that it's adjustable is another plus.
I bought this for my nursery and put it together myself. I messed up a little, but it probably had something to do with my confusion over one of the long screws. It had no head. It was a headless screw. Which at first I thought was for a reason, but theres no mention of headless screws in the directions and i didn't have a long screw with a head like i needed. I still screwed it into place, though it wasn't long enough to reach the end of the stool top and didn't support it as well as the other screw but it still works. The stool was even and sturdy in every other way and I havn't had any problems with it, so i would say i would recommend it. its cheaper then the other stools i looked at but i think its much more appropriate for me and my kid. I like it.:)
Love that I can use it as a slanted nursing stool now and as a regular stool for kids later. The stool is a little uneven, not sure if that is a manufacturing defect or if it is the way it was put together. That is the only reason I did not give it the full 5 stars.
good product, pretty comfortable.. A slight mismatch in the wholes for the level adjustment screw on one side, but the one on the other side is doing the job pretty well.
(maybe i should have read the product description better) i looked at various nursing stools & trust the brest friend brand. the stool elevates to diff angled heights or sits flat-i thought that i would be able to rock the stool but instead you have to take pins out of the sides to adjust the height. that is really my only complaint. it is perfectly satisfactory! oh and it comes in a bunch of little pieces you have to put together yourself which is a pain!
