My dad has been buying this product for years now. The lemon mint flavor somehow works the best for me and has always helped me through my heartburn. Highly recommend. Fall asleep easily after taking it when having heartburn and wake up feeling fine.
Lasts all night long and in the morning, I don't wake up with acids.
So, I am dealing with a diagnosis for cyclic vomiting syndrome. I'm prescribed antacid tablets that don't really work and when I found myself in the ER, they gave me a cocktail containing this so I figured I'd give it a shot instead of the tablets I have. Allow me to state, it does immediately take the edge off, it really does. For a bad episode it's a short period of relief (10-20 minutes max) but this is the best result I've had compared to anything else so I'll take it. I have only tried the max strength classic flavor, which can only be accurately compared to a combination of primarily dish soap and that weird fake mint that isn't quite peppermint or wintergreen but is simply just mint. It took me a solid 15 seconds of battling the shock of the taste to actually swallow it. Am I willing to continue using it despite the fact that tequila goes down easier than this stuff? Absolutely, because it works, but I will be purchasing and trying the caramel vanilla flavor in hopes that is a bit more palatable. Consistency wise it's about what you would expect, better again then most. In short I vastly recommend this for effectiveness, but caution on the taste.
This is the best heartburn relief I've ever used and I have serious reflux issues and it nails that as well. Classic now says it has a new better flavor and it's horrible. Makes my stomach upset to be honest, though it's still killing the acid. Please leave Classic as Classic and any new flavors should be a different type.
I used to buy Mylanta for my acid reflux, and I even recommended it to family members in the past. Ever since the new formula, it is thick and almost gooey. It has a horrible fishy smell, and I have found myself going to Tums instead. I've tried a few different bottles of the me formula, and I wind up just throwing it away. Sadly, not a fan.
