This camera is literally life changing, as a new parent, I constantly worry about if my newborn is awake or need help, I couldn't leave the room. With this camera, I got more hours sleeping. Highly recommended!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Pro camera is by far the best I've owned (and I've owned a few)! First and foremost, right out of the package, it has a sleek design that matches any other furniture in the room, and it's the perfect size. The packaging was really nice and not difficult to open. Then the features of this monitor blew me away! Not only does it record video, it has two-way audio to talk and soothe your baby when they're crying, it tracks baby's sleep and breathing for safety, and it also mounts to a wall to keep sticky fingers from grabbing it and pulling it down. I really enjoyed how it knows the room temperature and humidity that the camera is in to be sure it's a comfortable environment For baby. Overall, it's a wonderful baby monitor! So thankful I got to try this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I received the Nanit Pro Camera and Wall Mount for free through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, my opinions are my own. To begin, this camera has a lot of features and abilities. If you're looking for a certain feature, there's a good chance it can be found with the Nanit. I am beyond impressed with how much this monitor can do and how flexible it is for different lifestyles. For example, if you have a nanny or a babysitter, you can enable and disable access for them as needed without giving up your own device (they just need to download the app on their device). My favorite feature, though, was the sound machine and nightlight. I love that these were included into the monitor so I don't have to buy separate devices. The nightlight is a huge help when I need to go feed my baby in the night. The sound given off by the monitor is also soothing to my little one and really helps with sleep. The sound can get very loud, however; I had to adjust the sound while I was present to ensure it was at a comfortable and safe level. In addition, I love how much Nanit emphasizes safety in sleep and security. As the Nanit is set up, it walks you through how to safely use their breathing wear. It also walks you through some basic security to ensure your Nanit is setup on a secure WiFi network. The breathing wear is awesome. It is safe and easy to use. It definitely gives me peace of mind with a newborn without the concern of wires or other unsafe objects in the crib. I have both the breathing band and the pajamas. The breathing band at size 0-3 months fits my 8lb newborn great with plenty of room to grow. The size newborn pajamas also fit great and have the added bonus of being soft and having two-way zippers. The only issue I have with these two breathing wear options is I cannot swaddle my newborn when he wears them. Nanit does have a separate swaddle option, which I think would help my newborn sleep better. Unfortunately, I did have two issues with setup. Although set up is pretty quick and easy and everything is included (even a ruler!), we had some minor issues with the wall mounts and the USB power adapter. The wall mounts that come with the Nanit are great and easy to use; however, they don't allow you to curve the cord around a corner. Instead, the outlet must be on the same wall as the Nanit and crib to ensure all cords are covered. Since our outlet was not on the same wall, we had to get creative and will probably need to make some adjustments once our newborn is more mobile to ensure he stays safe. Our other issue with set up was the USB power adapter. When we plugged in our Nanit, the adapter made a high pitched ringing sound. I could actually barely hear it, but it quickly began to give my husband a headache. It was the type of ringing most adults can't always hear, but young children with better hearing can definitely hear. We ended up switching out the USB power adapter with another adapter we had on hand and the ringing went away. Despite some minor issues, we love our new monitor and all its features. The Insights are great at giving us an idea of how much sleep our newborn is getting and I can see it being a bigger help when it comes time to start some gentle sleep training. The video itself is clear. I love that I can zoom in and out and see my baby clearly both in light and darkness. The app is easy to use and full of features for the modern parent. This monitor is so customizable and amazing! Some of the features do require a subscription or the purchase of additional items. The basic Insight subscription plan is included for the first year, so if you want to use the breathing wear plus other Insight features past the first year, you'll have to purchase a subscription. As much as I'd love the breathing wear option to be included without a subscription, I was happy to see the subscription plans weren't too pricey. We love our monitor and look forward to using it more in our baby's first year.

I was able to mount the monitor in under 5 minutes, on my own. The image is clear as day, throughout the night. I appreciate the bird's eye view that is provided by the wall mount and wire coverings, especially as my child loves to wiggle his way into crib corners. I don't know how we survived without it. I wish we would have purchased this monitor to use with our first born. This is hands-down the best monitor on the market. The app was extremely user-friendly. Even Grandma was able to use the app after a quick tutorial. The breathing band pairs with the monitor and is an impressive advancement in technology. To say that this product gives me peace of mind as mother, is an understatement. I wondered if the band would be comfortable, but my baby didn't seem to mind and I was able to monitor his breathing. The insights data has been especially useful as I am currently trying to sleep train our baby. I am able to easily identify my child's wake windows without having to recall the time and duration of his last nap. This monitor is making my job less stressful as a mother and my baby is becoming more well rested. I would recommend this monitor to anyone, but especially those who are struggling to get a good nights sleep. I love so many things about this monitor, it is hard for me to say what my favorite feature is. With that, I'll have to mention a few: As a mother of two, my hands are full. It is wildly convenient to have the monitor on my phone, it becomes one less thing for me to carry around while playing with our other children. The nightlight provides the perfect glow for the occasional late night diaper change. The humidity sensor has been a godsend during the dry winter months. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about this monitor, thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the opportunity to test this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using several different baby monitors for my two kids and spending a lot of time scouring websites, blogs and mom groups for the best monitor, I have finally found it. The Nanit Pro Baby Monitor is as close to perfect as it can get. The HD monitor combined with the sleek app and the breathing monitoring technology is a combination that allows both seamless monitoring and peace of mind. To begin, installation and set up was a breeze. The packaging was beautiful and all of the parts were very clearly labeled. In order to give an honest review, I told my husband that I would complete the setup by myself. I was a bit nervous when I saw that installation required power tools, but I was able to follow the easy step-by-step instructions with only a little assistance using a drill (for the first time, I might add!) The included template was very helpful in measuring the correct height for the wall mount as well. The only slight difficulty was getting the cable and cable covers in a straight line down the wall-- this is only noticeable by someone as detail-oriented as my husband! The app setup was also extremely easy and there were many useful videos and other guidance included within the app itself once opened. We were able to add my husband as a "care team member" although it took us a bit to realize he had to pair his phone with the actual camera and the process wasn't as smooth as we would have liked. The camera angle is amazing and gives the clearest, most detailed view of my baby, even in the dark. He loves staring at the camera and smiling, so I get the cutest pictures of him too. I love that the app sends you alerts when there is noise in the baby's crib which let me know that my son is up from his nap. This is especially helpful as I don't usually hear him crying from the other side of the house. The alerts also go to my smart watch which gives me the freedom to move around the house and do chores without being attached to my phone. For constant sound monitoring, the app can also be left on and goes to "night mode" which dims the screen on my smart phone. There are so many cool features included with the app itself. The "insights" feature is useful as it tracks the exact time my baby was put in his crib, fell asleep, woke up, etc. There is also a dashboard which also gives all the details about his day: the amount of time he's in his bed, how much of that time he was asleep, how many naps he took and his last wake up time. A cute time-lapse video summarizes all of the day's activities in the crib with time stamps. I love watching it and being able to look back on past days to see patterns in my son's sleep as well! If you're like me and enjoy tracking all of these details, this camera and associated ap are for you. In my opinion, however, the most important thing that Nanit does is to track his breathing. I have used another biometric monitoring device for both so my children that I really love, so I was skeptical to rely on Nanit's breathing monitoring. However, I have found Nanit's ability to detect my son's respiratory rate to be very accurate, and that gives this pediatric ICU nurse-mamma some much needed peace of mind. I have yet to have a 'false-alarm' as the camera detects when baby is moving or is taken out of the crib. The only downside is that baby must be in the Nanit swaddle for the camera to detect the breathing motion. It is truly a wonderful swaddle that my son happens to love, but I can see how it may not work for all babies. There are other breathing-wear options available in sleep-sack form and a breathing band that goes over pajamas too. These options will be helpful to purchase as baby grows and transitions out of the arms-in swaddled. There are even more features that I am excited to use in the future to help track nighttime sleep. My son currently only sleeps in his crib during the day and is in a bassinet for nighttime. I would recommend parents who are considering this camera to buy the stand mount if they plan to use the camera in multiple different places (or if you don't want the camera to be the centerpiece over your crib.) Overall I have really, really loved the Nanit Pro Baby Monitor. It's the product that I never knew I needed until I had it, and now I can't imagine not using it! This reliable monitor will definitely make the transition easier for me and my baby when we officially move him into his crib. It gives me so much peace of mind being able to track my baby's breathing, movement, sounds, and sleep trends. My baby is a stomach-sleeper, so the breath tracking is especially important to me. We've mostly been using the Nanit PJ's to track her breathing, but we've used the band a couple of times too and it seems to work just as great! The quality of the video is amazing, and the alerts are very accurate and reliable. We are currently renting and didn't want to put holes in the walls, so we actually installed the monitor on a tall decorative piece of furniture in her room! It was very easy to install! The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate. Every morning my husband and I like to open the app and look at her insights data for the night, it's so satisfying to see her sleep data laid out in numbers and graphs. The installation was very easy and the directions were laid out perfectly with no questions. We love the personalization of “hey mom” and “hey dad” on the app for the users. The HD picture is very clear we can physically see her breathing. We have the belly breathing band but shes a baby that doesn't like the swaddle feel as much. We used it a few times and it gave us such a peace of mind. Another great feature, is the insights. I enjoy checking everyday how her nights sleep was and being able to go back and watch clips from when she moved around throughout the night. Hands down the best monitor out there for us!

I am blown away at the clarity of the video footage on the app. Our last monitor was very foggy and would often pick up motion when it was just the sunlight coming through the window. I love that I can easily get alerts to my phone via the app when it senses motion or sound while also checking in on the temperature of the room and how our baby girl is breathing. I was a little skeptical of the breathing band and whether it would actually read properly but it has been great. With 2 other kids at home it's been a blessing to have the app keep track (with the breathing band) of how long our daughter sleeps for. I am enjoying the insights so far and enjoy knowing it will only get better the longer I use it for. The insights is probably my favorite feature so far though I am looking forward to testing out the smart sheets! A couple things on my wishlist, for the video camera I would love it more if it had music. Our kids always stayed asleep longer and fell asleep better listening to a heartbeat. As far as the smart bands. I would love it if you had a onesie. We don't swaddle or use a sleep sack and the band only goes up to 3 months. I'd love to be able to track sleep patterns for longer periods and to have the band be picked up automatically. Once the baby is put down and the monitor reads the band it can ping you to adjust the location and ask whether you want to track. I have forgotten to start the band before and realized after her nap was already over. Overall I absolutely love the monitor and app, I have already recommended it to several people in our moms Facebook groups.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nanit did an amazing job with this baby monitor! I am so impressed with all the features and clear picture. The mounting instructions for the camera were easy to understand, and I was able to mount the camera above my daughter's crib within 15 minutes. I then used my smart phone and installed the Nanit app. The app is very intuitive, and I was impressed by the features. I LOVE the insights tracker!!! We can watch a replay of the day/night and get statistics on our baby's sleeping patterns. It shows when I lay her in her crib, how long she slept and when i picked her up after her nap/night time sleep. I am working on getting my daughter on a schedule, so seeing how long she is napping and sleeping at night is very helpful. These features are definitely impressive. I used the breathing band with this camera and love it. The band is very easy to put on my 3 month daughter. She didn't seem to mind wearing the band. I always check on my daughter multiple times during the night to make sure she is breathing, but now I'm able to see that she's okay via the Nanit app. I'm so grateful to be getting better sleep! So far I have not had any false alarms with the breathing band, and it seems to work well. The picture on my smart phone from the camera is crystal clear. I can zoom in and out on my baby. However, I can't turn the camera left, right, up or down. I can only zoom in and out on my baby. The picture does capture my baby's entire crib, so it's not a deal breaker that I can't control the camera more. There are 4 red infrared lights that are on when the camera is on. My daughter is small now, but I wonder if she will notice these red lights when she's older. The one thing the Nanit is missing is a parent unit. I have to leave my smart phone on at all times when my baby is sleeping which really sucks the battery during the day (I can sleep my phone plugged in at night). I wish there was a parent unit so I didn't have to rely on my smart phone. I think a tablet would be ideal with the Nanit. My favorite features are the breathing band and the insights data. I have definitely been sleeping better now that I'm able to look at the app and see that my baby is breathing. The insights data is incredibly helpful tracking baby's sleep during the day and at night. I do wish there was a parent unit, and I wish I could control the camera after it was mounted a bit more. Overall, the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor
