Our D4 is awesome! This is the second Neato we have. The first had some minor issues after running daily for 3 straight years. She was just a little aged, and since the new mapping tech was available, we made the decision to move her upstairs, and buy the D4. The D4 cleans as good as our connected botvac. We have a dog, and 2 very long haired women in the house, so she is run daily and I am amazed how much she picks up. I never thought the floor were dirty. She does hardwood and Persian carpets (with fringing). She never gets stuck on the fringing either. When we set her up and did our first map, I ran her before hand and figured out what furniture she was going to get stuck under. I blocked that path with books during the mapping, drew my lines on the app, and then removed the books afterward. Works like a dream. Has not got stuck since. She is also so much quieter than our last vac. I can run her at night on the same floor I am sleeping, and with the mapping program, I can block my bedroom door, so she does not run into it and wake me up. I am a pretty light sleeper too. Highly recommended!

I stumbled upon this deal, and it has truly been a lifesaver for me. With two kids and a dog, maintaining a clean house can be a real challenge, but this device makes it so much easier. It's worth noting that the company Neato has ceased operations and no longer provides support for their products. Therefore, if you come across this item for under $150, I highly recommend grabbing it and buy extended warranty from walmart
I have been using a Neato Robotic for many years, however, my 2 years old D4 all in a sudden stopped connecting to my wifi . So I thought it had come to an end and a purchased a new one. Other than the wifi connection not working, I did like the performance. Now the new one also does not pair with the wifi. I found out that Neato Company was bought by a German company to decided to shot Neato down but it is still temporarily operating. They have overseas customer service that doesn't take phone call, only by e-mail. Not acceptable at all. The link issue was taken over by AMAZON and possibly that is the reason is not linking. The machine still work good it's just not online and not able to direct the Robotics with the app that is now controlled by Amazon.
Have used Neato for last 5 years. Bought this because one of our machines is aging. Only concern is that Neato went out of business and no longer provide support for software updates. Machine keeps asking to update, but none are available.

They are not allowing me to use 2 yr protection plan that I paid for!!!!!!!! Only been 3 months
Had to return as it was unable to install an available software update and wasn't able to fully map the floor plan to enable no-go lines. Company support was nonexistent as emails to product support remain unanswered.
here's the bad first, Neato as a company is effectively out of business. I have this as first hand Knowledge from a tech support inquiry. having said that, no buying this product that the online and app features will not work in the next couple of years when Neato finishes shutting down. in 2022 or 23 they promised 5 years of service for the online features. without the online features all of these Neato apps are worthless. when the robot goes offline, there will be basically no difference between a D3 and a D7 d8 or d9. your floor plans will cease working. the good news is the robot itself Maps the floor every time if you just push the Go Button while it's on charge. would that in mind you will not lose use of the robot, but you will lose the ability to direct it to a particular room to clean. you will lose the no-go lines, which can be replaced with a magnetic strip. but you won't be able to start and stop the robot from an app. it's just not possible. as long as you know this going into it, enjoy it while it works for a few years. I actually bought the D4 because my previous xv-11 quit working after all these years. I'm extremely happy with how they clean, and in my opinion they work much better than Roomba which I have half a dozen of.
I have had on going issues with this Neato. It doesn't stay connected. I have been a Neato owner for 10 years and this is the worst.
