I need to wear dress shoes every day as a professional. When the weather is at all questionable these boots pull over them perfectly. They add traction and protection a dress shoe is not designed to provide. I have slipped countless times in the past. These over boots pull on and off easily with the quick release Velcro and they are so light wieght. They hold your shoe like regular boots and make it easy to keep them on for driving. I have a co-worker from the east coast who walked into work with them and explained the benefits. She sold me on the concept and I have never looked back. I recommend them to others regularly.
I got these for bike camping where they will work beautifully both on and off the bike. They are lighter than I hoped, well made and seem very durable, time will tell. I did exactly what they said for picking a size and have an overshoe that easily pops over both shoes I wear traveling. What I needed most was a way to keep my feet dry on the bike in heavy rains. These work perfect for that. Mine seem to have an updated sole pattern, and I like it better. They won't let you go knee deep but are the best light weight overshoe that I have seen.
The Boots are good and will work well. Keep in mind you will not be climbing mountains in these. They will work well for going from my house to car without getting my shoes wet in rain or snow. They are a bit expensive for what you get in terms of strength of material. Time will tell if they last. Shipping was slow but the shipping notifications were accurate.
