ok, so I see several people saying you need an ipod or iphone for this totally NOT true you can play this after inserting the batteries **if you hit the reload button right after turning it on, you can switch from team 1, team 2, team 3, and solo play we already have some laser tag guns and these work with them as well I also had my parents look at their local Wal-Mart to get 2 more now we have 4 of these guns and 4 others for a huge laser tag battle much cheaper than going somewhere to rent the guns ...
My son (9 yrs old) loves this. It was easy to install the batteries and download the FREE app from iTunes. The gun and the app work together and provide great sound effects. My son was having a good time playing on his own with this and my iPhone was securely in place and I wasn't worried that it would be damaged. You can use either an iPod or iPhone. Playing with additional players that have the same gun would be great!
Bought this as a christmas gift but i returned this to store because I bought online and I didn't realize you need an ipod to play.I didn't get to see if it worked properly but it looks nice and durable and worth the price.
My 9 yr old has enjoyed this lazer tag product everyday. It works great and we have a blast. All itoich and iphones (up to 4S) can be used.
Its a great game if you play in a team. Its very easy to follow the instructions and also to get the app downloaded. My son was very excited with the sound affects coming from app. I am giving 4 star because, i had faced issues unmounting the iphone. I had use needle pliers.
I opened the box with hurried anticipation. A real life video game....the possibilities were close to endless. The gun was very cool looking, like something right out of a FPS game. It was a little difficult to figure out how to connect the phone mount pieces and disconnecting it was next to impossible. I soon discovered that the device required an I phone while all I had was a silly android from boost mobile. I think if I had taken the time to read the instructions and ensure that I had all the necessary components I would have thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Did not realize you needed an IPhone or IPod plus 6 triple A batteries to utilize these lazer tag guns. My 2 boys were so disappointed on Christmas Day! Returning them tomorrrow!!!!
