The Nest x Yale Lock is a secure, tamper-proof smart lock for your front door that replaces the deadbolt lock you already have. Keyless entry on the LED keypad lets you lock and unlock your front door without a key. The keypad plays different sounds when it’s touched to confirm responses, such as locking, unlocking, or turning Privacy Mode on or off. Let someone in from anywhere. Unlock the door with your phone using the Nest App for easy guest access, or give unique passcodes to family and guests and set a schedule to control when they work.* Check the status of your door and lock it from anywhere using the Nest App. Or lock it or check your door status hands-free with Google Assistant. The Nest Yale Lock works on most standard doors. Everything you need to get started is in the box. You can install it yourself in a few steps, or call a pro to help. When you don’t want to be disturbed, Privacy Mode disables the keypad so it can’t be unlocked with a passcode. Get alerts on your phone when someone locks or unlocks the door or tries to tamper with your smart lock. Use one-touch locking on your way out or a passcode on the keypad. With auto-lock, the Nest x Yale Lock can lock automatically when you’re away from home.* Comes in three metal finishes to match your front door. I have installed two Next x Yale locks in my home with plans to add a third for an exterior garage door. I love that I can ask Google to lock my doors and, it will if any are unlocked, or it will report back to me which doors are already locked. The ability to manage user codes and schedules from the app is priceless, along with the piece of mind I get when I am away and want to check on my doors.
We had rented an AirBnB that had this lock and liked th convenience, so I bought one to upgrade our front door. Installation was pretty easy, I had to take out a lot of wood for the deadbolt to work. It has worked great and the application is very good. Highly recommended based upon our two months of daily use.
Not the least expensive smart lock option but as with most consumer products: you get what you pay for. This lock looks great, functions reliably, is connected to a well designed app that's easy and intuitive to use. The fact that it's backed by both Google and Yale gives me piece of mind that my lock will have any future problems (if any) addressed in a timely and competent manner.
Senior retired, this Nest product works very well, looks really good and it will tell you if your door is locked or not also you can assign family or friends their own specific number to enter your home or you can stop them there are usually buy a raisin nest product works very well, looks really good and it will tell you if your door is locked or not also you can assign family or friends Access
I am currently a Nest product owner (cameras, thermostat, smoke) thought this might be a nice addition to the family. Was considering an August product, because we have a custom front door and we were worried that an externally facing smart lock would ruin the look. However, after reading the reviews and seeing some installations, The bronze finish melds perfectly.
Hi all, So this is the lock that works for my home. It integrates with nest, and I only have products in the google ecosystem. I have not purchased products from competitors that would be opposite of the google home/max/mini. As with all of the other nest products I have purchased, this one just works correctly out of the box/integrates with the other products. It is also visually pleasing.
I owned a door lock with a code from a different manufacturer. There was one code and one way to unlock. The Nest Yale lock allows me to add multiple codes for each of my family right from the Nest app. I get alerts when my door is unlocked and I know who unlocked it. If someone forgets to lock the door, no problem, I go to my Nest app and lock it. I can also delete codes as needed.
We love the nest lock. This is our 3d.
It's works well, fixed good in my door.
I read about connection issues in the reviews before purchasing but it wasn't until I actually owned it that I realized just how bad the issue is. I have a GOOGLE mesh network and this lock can not stay connected. After spending quite a while googling for answers I found out why. This lock for some reason does not like dual band networks that use a single SSID. It was very frustrating to not even find this issue through Google itself, but in forums where people were trying to solve the issue themselves. So DO NOT purchase this lock if you are going to be connecting via a mesh network that is dual band with a single SSID.When it's functioning this lock is excellent. Remote unlock, temporary codes, a complete log of what codes were used. It's the whole reason I bought the lock. Unfortunately, it does not work with my current internet set up. The fact that what I am trying to connect it with is another Google product makes the problem all the more frustrating.
