I purchased this phone since using my work cell was not a good idea. This phone thru Net10 can also call Canada which is a plus for me. The phone works well and have had only a few dropped calls. Reception has been very good. However, it says it has a hands-free speaker, but the instructions do not mention it and I have not found out how to use that if, indeed, that feature exists on this phone. I'm not cell phone savvy either! But for a basic phone and decent service, I'd say it was worth the cost, especially with the free 300 minutes.
First you need to know I am 70 years old and this is my first cell phone. With that said, I didn't know how to begin so I called the Net 10 service phone number.. The people there speak a broken English that I have never heard before and they were hard to understand but after about 1 hour on the phone it was decided I needed a new SIM card and after that came 4 days later I had to call back and talk with these people again but this time it only took about 30 min. and everything seems to be working fine now.I don't use the phone much but I'm getting to know all the "gadgets" on the phone and I think we'll do just fine!!! Expect a little trouble getting started but it'll be OK
I bought the phone as a gift and was disappointed that the phone didn't work properly. After calling Net 10 support five or six times, we learned that the SIM card in the phone is defective. Another SIM card should arrive in three to four days. Hopefully, this one will work.
