Works just as advertised. My only small issue with it is that we live in an apartment complex and the power adapter on the router is too big to fit into the network closet door inside the coat closet. So, I'll need to buy an extension cord and find a way to tuck the power adapter behind the router. The issue is that the power adapter can't get a secure power connection from the power outlet inside the network cable door. This is only an issue with some apartment complexes, as they have pretty small network closets.
I purchased it because I didn't want to pay the cable company their monthly modem fees. It has even saved me money on my data usage on my cell phone. I haven't had any problems with it. I hope to purchase a smart tv later this year which is the other reason for purchasing this AC1750 Netgear WiFi Cable Modem Router Model No. C6300.
We have a long ranch style house where our Xfinity modem will only reach halfway through the rooms. This modem has extended the Wi-Fi signal all the way through our house and has amplified the signal we do receive! We're even getting speeds faster than we pay for! Very happy with this purchase, Plus we were able to return Xfinitys' modem reducing our bill by $10 per month
So far so good. We got this because we couldn't get very strong signal with our other modem/router. We connected this one and instantly the service was noticeably faster everywhere in the house! Well worth it.
I purchased this device for my new home due to the strong ratings and reviews I saw online. After hooking it up to my providers coaxial cable and installing the Nighthawk App I was up and running in about 10 minutes. The signal is strong on both levels of my home and the speed is noticeably faster than my previous modem/ router combo. The app makes it easy to manage your network name, password, and settings. 5 out of 5 stars!
I did research to learn that this model is easy to install. Reliability is high. It was on sale for $150, which was what I wanted to spend. Netgear has a solid reputation. It turned out to be on Comcast's "recommended list" for system compatibility. I like only having one piece of equipment for two functions. Seems to be working satisfactorily. No issues.
I needed a new modem because my old one was too slow for my internet. I am so happy I went with the Netgear AC1750. What I love rh most is I can disconnect my children when they have been on the internet to long. Also I love the fact that it has guest wifi, so when I have company and they may need to connect to my wifi, their not connected to my main wifi. I give this modem a 10/10
Why do y'all recommend the nighthawk app for the c6300 when it states that the c6300 is not supported. Separately it makes no sense that this modem/router is rated for up to 1750 Mbps but only good for 300 Mbps on Xfinity.
The first one I got dropped out the wireless part 3 times in two weeks. Took it back and swapped it for another. So, far 2 dropouts of the wireless part in 2 weeks. I'm not too sure about the quality of this model.
I didn't even get to try this router because I received an extremely USED one and not NEW like I ordered. The entire outside is heavily scuffed and scratched. This is very upsetting!!
