[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The activation with my ISP went smoothly. Changing the SSID and Wifi password is not that clearly stated in the setup process. After login to the modem, you have to guess if a field is editable. Such a necessary process should be a highly visible part of ANY router setup process. I had to knock off 1 star for that omission. But even THAT is impossible to do after you leave the
Great modem. Only issue I have is with Xfinity and quality. After using the Xfinity modem for testing, I have determined that if you are not using their modem, they now truncate your connection. Netgear modem seems to be good quality and functions with no issue other than Xfinity fraudulent activity.
Great modem/router combo that can keep up with anything I have connected. I was even able to diagnose an ISP issue after activating this router and now get top speeds with low latency. If you purchase this router and it continuously seems to restart it's due to poor connection with isp and recommended to contact isp to check cable and connections.
I was using the standard "Panoramic" WiFi router provided by Cox Communications, and I kept having issues w my internet. I swapped it out 2xs, but the problem remained. I bought this unit and BAM! The problem was solved, and my internet is blazing fast. I get 500-600 MB/s down on my Samsung Galaxy Note20 w 30-40 MB/s upstream and about 100 MB/s on my smart TVs and laptops. This unit is amazing, and it will allow me to keep up w technology as it can handle speeds a lot faster that the 1 Gig download speed I currently have. I COMPLETELY recommend this unit to anyone who is looking to maximize today's top speed internet services and have the ability to keep up w tomorrow's technology. The Armor internet security that is built into this unit is also impressive!
Upgraded from the C7800 and I'm glad I did. Used to pull down 70-110 mbps on my phone from my room (40 feet away from the gateway), and now I'm getting 700-800 mbps. Even my hardwired connection to my PC increased dramatically. Getting 1.3-1.4? Gbps down now, which is insane...but really cool to be connected at 2.5 Gbps finally.

I upgraded my home Internet by installing Netgear's Nighthawk WiFi 6 Cable Modem Router. After completing the installation, I noticed apparent improvements in signal strength, bandwidth, faster uploads and downloads, and no lost connections.
Got started and everything ran smooth for a bit. So glad I got the Pro 24/7 help plan. They were able to walk us through the portion of the install that we were having difficulty completing. Once they got all the input complete we were told to contact our ISP provider and they would finish our install. WOW It is up and running beautifully. Hope our provider can keep us up and running. Those more familiar with the newer technology might not need the additional help, but like insurance, better to have than not to have. Thanks to Netgear for what our ISP provider described as an excellent product for replacement of our 13 year old Netgear equipment.
Great piece of kit. Easy setup and configuration. 4 Stars for the unknown longevity and price. I feel I made a good choice from a reliable brand. So far I am very pleased.
MUCH faster than the hardware it was replacing, and generally more reliable. The only problem is that the HP Officejet Pro 8600 keeps losing Wi-Fi connection with the new router, needs to be rebooted before I can print. This had never been a problem with my old Airport router.
