The great: Router is fast and stable, great set of features and options. Support was able to get my issue straightened out quickly. Documentation needs a little: Router must be initially set up using the "internet" connection, using the Nighthawk mobile app. Once set up, you can go to routerlogin.net to set up the "multigig" connection, switch the connection, restart everything. Would have been nice to know. Most settings worked with routerlogin.net on my desktop, not all. To reset the default wireless channels, modes, names, and update firmware, the website must be accessed through a mobile device - thanks Support! Again, would have been nice to know without a call. Ideally, i would like to do the whole setup from one place, website or app. Set this router up on clear channels and stand back! CM2000 cable modem is a great match.
Great router if you have the money for it. The speed is really amazing with plenty of devices. I do have to say that we turned off the Armor defense so I am not rating this extra feature. We have 2 adults working from home with video conferences all day and it is perfect.
I had been experiencing WI-FI issues with spectrum routers for months, after they switched my equipment five times and two onsite technicians the problem remained. My next door neighbor was having the same issues with them so he bought an older version of the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router, 6Gbps (RAX120) a year ago, no more WI-FI problem since then. So I bought mine and "voila" the rest is history. Best investment I've made so far this year, worth every penny.
Fast and reliable connectivity. Easy user use.
Purchased in Dec. 2022. Has bugs. Unit turns off then on at random times. Internet provided help by suggesting disable/degrade some functions. That worked. Unit now only turns itself off about once a day for about 30 seconds. Nothing yet on Netgear's site acknowledging this problem or when they intend to fix it. Otherwise unit appears to work as intended.
I bought this to upgrade my router to handle the GBs we get with our internet and how many devices are using now, but for some reason it still refreshes or disconnects… I don't know what to do, trying to debate if I am returning and getting something different… Not sure I recommend this
Twice the router stopped working and needed to be factory reset and reconfigured. More than three times the router automatically powercycled kicking everyone off. I got on with tech support to do some advanced custom changes to the configuration, so we'll see whether that helps. So far my experience has been abysmal.
I set up the router and installed the latest firmware. It drops the connection and resets itself randomly (happened 4 times in the first 2 weeks). I called Netgear and they wanted me to downgrade the firmware. I decided to not troubleshoot this brand new router and I am returning it for an Asus WiFi 6 router. The last Asus I had was reliable.
