I'd previously been using a Netgear Nighthawk wireless router and extender; however, with a growing population of home automation devices, it was time to upgrade to a mesh network. I'm using two RBS850 satellites with the RBR850 router (in AP mode) with terrific results. Excellent video and audio streaming results, strong backhaul signals in our mid-sized tri-level home. Orbi iPhone App works really well for initial setup, basic configuration and day-to-day management. Web app provides more advance features. Super-handy Ethernet ports on the back of each module allow a mix of wired/wireless devices and provides extender-like capabilities. I have nothing bad to say about this mesh system.
Already own an Orbi AX6000 mesh system with 3 satellites. Installed new security cameras around house and found coverage in one area sub optimal. Picked up 4th satellite installed 40ft from router and I'm running 240mbs 30 ft away through 2 brick walls. Beyond impressive!
I needed another satellite to provide a strong signal throughout a 3000 sq ft home. The base and single satellite did a good job but two satellites is great.
Was easy to install and connect using the provided instructions and nearby devices connect easily
My wife set up a 2nd home office on the 2nd floor so I purchased the RBS850 Satellite to extend a stronger WiFi signal to the 2nd floor. The setup and synching with the main unit/router went smoothly and now the connections on the 2nd floor are at their maximum WiFi speeds. I'm very satisfied with the overall system performance; however, the price for the Satellite seems a little high.
Best ever. I just expanded my mesh from 1 to 2 satellites (plus the base unit). Greatly improved my wifi service. Highly recommend!
Had a 2 set orbi. After looking at the priving for new model i opted to get another satellite due to dead spot in house. I couldn't be better pleased. Dead spot is gone and i was able to put one in garage for security dvr. Whole house is covered perfectly.
I found this item for $100 less than on other online sites. I have several Orbi satellites already, and it worked as I expected. The price was certainly the deal clincher for me.
ORBI is the best WiFi mesh system I've used. Great coverage and reliable performance. I can pull a signal over 20 yards away from my house.
I had the three unit system already in place and going strong. I bought a media streamer for another room that lacks wifi and a fair distance away from the other units (so couldn't hardwire from those). I was able to purchase the satellite, load the app, easily add it to the existing system, and place it next to the media streamer with a hardwire. No issues whatsoever and incredibly simple to add on. The device map showed the new unit within minutes.
