Great powerline . use it for my outside movie theater and one was outside .. u can see the powerline lights on left top of my movie theater screen and one is inside by the window . homemade mount on top right with power outlet and wifi enternet wire to hook up and outside hook up my roku to my tv projector and watch the game Clemson Vs Texas and also clemson vs usc .. work so good and no trouble with it .. i have friends came over and loves it . thank u so much ... I bought this and it was totally worth it i get almost no ping in games (0 ping is good)
The PL1200 works exactly as advertised. I've bought 4 of them to put wired ethernet into various parts of my home. They worked right out if the box and provide excellent networking.
I am not very techy so I called my internet provider asking to drop a new coaxial line at a new location because I needed an Ethernet connection for my new job and needed to set up at a different part of my house for some quiet. They informed me of this product and I was reluctant. But I had to try it and found that it was perfect. It was easy and simple to set up. The connection stays strong and I am able to perform my job without any internet troubles. Very happy with the product.
I had some difficulty at first. I ran back and forth from the house to the shop 50 times trying to get this item to work. Then it hit me! This product sends signal through the house electrical system. They can't communicate if the power source at each side is different. I ran a temporary line 150 feet to my shop from my house, plugged them in and they worked great. I'll have to bury a permanent line in conduit in the spring. A tad more work than I expected, nevertheless, I have wifi where I need it.
Easy to hook up, worked right away. Helped "boost" the internet connection to my kids game station so there isn't nearly as much "lagging" and therefore not nearly as much "raging".
Easy to set-up! I live in an old house (plaster walls) and even with a WiFi extender speeds were slow (~25Mbps on the 5G band), and slower on the 2G which was the only band that made it to the basement were my backup drive is located. Old house = old wiring (still some knob and tubing lurking about) which, I knew would impact the Powerline. I am getting about 44 Mbps with the Powerline, considerably better than WiFi. Speed/connection is more stable with the Powerline. Backups go faster and for the computer away from the router, downloads are faster using the Powerline vs. WiFi. Very happy with it, much better than drilling holes and snaking an Ethernet cable.
Performs faster and better than Wi-Fi for getting my Apple TV online. Streaming video works great. Less time buffering.
