My mom bought for me. I wasn't an avid sunscreen user except of beach trips. This changed me completely. It made my skin clear, which I usually have (also thanks neutrogena spot treatment for the rare pimple here and there), but it made my skin blend together if that makes sense. I use this product everyday now. The thing is I have hyperpigmentation and this has helped greatly. Hyperpigmentation is the over production of melanin and the sun can make it worse. So, while I was upset about it I knew sunscreen could help me but I didn't want something and that didn't feel heavy or clogged my pores and I just gave up in the search for a sunscreen that could help me start the journey of clearing my hyperpigmentation and then m I found this. It's beautiful and it has helped me reduce the intake sun on the problem areas which have protected my skin from becoming darker. It truly is a wonderful product that I love and will continue using everyday.
Love this sunscreen. Blends in well and has a dry-touch feel to it. Most importantly, it works!
I started using this when I was 11. I'm 14 now and I'm very light skinned and my skin is very soft because of this! My friends make fun of me for having the lightest skin, but I love it! So I have to protect it and keep it healthy! So this product is the best!
I own the Factor 45 version of this product and I used this sunblock daily for school. After a year of going to Physical Education without sunblock, I noticed the formation of sun spots and discoloration. It happened gradually, but my skin has gotten better and the ususage of this sunblock has really aided in that. I have dry, somewhat sensitive skin with some oily spots. I find the application smooth and fairly non-greasy. It absorbs completely in about 15 minutes, though it is generally dry a few minutes after applying it. It protects well and left only a slight white tint that will go away. It has a scent but nothing that bothers me too much. It's one of the better sunblocks I've used but I may want to try something else just because I like to try new products I have gotten rid of my sun spots and my skin is much more even now. The sunblock is moisturizing, but with minimal greay-ness.
I got some of this sunscreen in my eyes and it caused severe irritation and pain. I avoided puting it near the eye area but it must have run into them through the natural sweating on my face. I was able to finally get relief after two hours when I got access to some 'allergy' eye drops. Flushing with water did not help. I would use this product again but never on my face.
we got this product for out vacation to Mexico. Within the hour of putting this product in my skin where I applied this product broke out in huge hives. I hives stayed on my skin look like small red rash all over for about a week before it faded away .
My kids and I went swimming for 2 hours. I put the lotion on before we entered the pool and once after the 1st hour. We all have burns and my oldest sun even has blisters on his shoulders (he is miserable!) I don't understand how this happened, since I reapplied once in between the 2 hours that we were there. The bottle says its water resistant up to 80 minutes. We should have had plenty of coverage. This is the first time that we have used a Neutrogena product for sunscreen. I bought it for the "dry touch" and non greasy advertisements. I know I will be switching back to my original sunscreen.
Has the formulation changed? I broke out in a very itchy, red rash on my face and neck after applying this product. After a visit to the dermatologist and a prescription, I stopped all facial products except the hydrocortisone for 2 weeks. The rash cleared up. I then tried the sunscreen again. The rash is back. I have used this product for several years and never had any problems. I did not have sensitive skin prior to using this. I definitely will not be using this product again.
I took this on a summer trip because I was determined not to get burnt. Using this everyday gave me terrible breakouts! I kept using it because I thought it was just my skin being terrible, then finally stopped when it got too bad. My skin cleared up immediately. So the sunscreen part worked I guess, but I would never use this again.
I have used this product or any of the other spfs of the dry touch sunscreen for years on my face and neck with no issues. Recent uses, since late June, have resulted in a blotchy red itchy rash, first time was after a couple days' cumulative use, next time it was the next day, most recently within hours. This is occurring whether with older bottle or bottle purchased within last 3 weeks. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but no doubt that the rash is from this. Can't use it again.
