Although this is a futon, you really can't tell just by looking at it. Most of my visitors think it's a regular couch. It's also a plus that it looks classier than the original futon and doesn't give that "dorm room" kind of feel. It's also a good size couch (comfortably sits 3 normal-sized adults) and is comfortable to sleep on. It's also a good value for what you're getting since most couches cost a bit more. My only complaint is that it was a little difficult to put together and it took me about 3 hours to complete with the help of a friend. I still recommend it though. It was worth the effort!
I owned this futon and eneded up selling because i didnt have room after we moved a bowflex in. but i sold the bowflex and ordered the exact same thing agian.If has a great color and fabric and it is easy to use.The espresso colored wood is beautifiul.We used it several times and i love it.For the price you cant beat it.Every where else is 6-700.00 dollars.
To remind everyone thinking of buying this product, it is a futon. After having it for six months the only complaint I had was that it was bowing in the middle. As it is a futon, this should not be unexpected. However, it was cheaply repaired. I took the metal threading that is used for running dog lines and supports up to three hundred pounds, about 10 dollars, and put the futon in a relaxed position and wound the line to connect the two connecting base frames where it was bowing. Ouila, a fixed futon and unnoticeable repair. I've had it that way for four months now, and it hasn't even loosened up.
I recently purchased this futon and assembled it by myself. It was a little time consuming (2 hours), but was easy enough. The only tricky part was attaching the metal frames, but I made it work. This futon looks just as nice as any couch I've owned, and is a much more affordable way to furnish my new apartment. It is also very comforatble when comparing it to other futons I've sat on. I'd definitely recommend this product. I'm even considering getting the matching chair.
My boyfriend and I bought this futon as our couch for our first apartment. It's very comfortable, easy to clean and looks beautiful. I would however recommend that you buy it while it's on rollback. Overall, I've been very pleased with it.
Good product. Very soft and really comfortable. Very hard to assemble and needed 3 people to hold together at some points.
I'm using this as a bed more than a couch. I'm away from home for 6 months working on a long term work project. I thought buying a futon would be better than buying a bed. If I had to do it all over, I'd just buy a twin size mattress. The bed is flat enough for occasional sleeping, but because it comes in quarters (two for the seat and two for the back), crevices develop as you sleep more and more. However, as a couch to sit in and watch TV, it's great.
We bought this product in april (8months ago) We have not used it as a bed very often maybe5 or 6 times when we had guests. Now, eight months later metal parts have bent and it cannot be put back in upright position. We have no way of getting the parts that we need from the manufacturer. We never thought we would end with a futon that doesn't go up or down.
its our 1st futon.dont think i will ever buy another. after just 1 mo of use the parts became nonfunctional. the pulley which converts couch to bed didnt work and now i ve a futon which is neither couch nor bed!!! there is no warrantee attached so cant replace it either. its a WASTE. i am going to dump it.
At first I thought this was a good looking futon at an affordable price. 6 months later I am extremelly disappointed. When in the bed position, there is no middle support beam that keeps the metal brackets from bending. Now I can't move the futon in the upright position. If anyone can tell me the manufacturer and give me a number I would greatly appreciate it. Do not buy this product! It will not last longer than 5 - 6 months!
