Just set up and started using my new unit . Read reviews and picked up a funnel ( the ones for cars w long spout are perfect , or kitchen funnel ) for adding water to unit . Made filling easy , no spills yay . Using on patio in Phoenix , it's amazing ! Quiet , looks hip in red , easy to use . Love it :)
We live in AZ and it is hot! This little gem has allowed us to be cold during the summer. We use it for our room since we have an attic, our room is the hottest in the house. Highly recommend, everyone in the family is less cranky, including our dogs. :)
This evaporative cooler is great as is the Newair service. I received this unit with a damaged caster from shipping and they responded promptly to ship a new caster. I purchased another Frigidaire unit a year ago from Newair and love that one too. Between these 2 units I have been going through at least 10 gallons a day and the ambient temperature seems to be about 10 degrees cooler than it was without these two units blowing some cool air. The dry Colorado climate is ideal for evaporative coolers and they are so much more economical than A/C.
can tell you how awesome this unit is. the oscillator feature is a game changer. its light enough for almost anyone to move and its not as bulky as our other LG unit was. good stuff.
I bought my first unit a year ago. It was good and did the cooling as it was supposed to. I was happy with the product for the price. So I bought a second one almost right after. This summer I used the 2nd unit for the first time. It was leaking. I contacted newair and they agreed to replace it for me even it was out of warranty.
It looks good, and works as well. Here in Tennessee it is not as effecent as it would be in the southwest. but it has a good fan and it cools the air some. It does pull 200watts power on high with the cooling pump on, but was avertised as only 100. on medium it runs about 150 watts and low 100. A little noisy on high but not bad on the lower settings. It is not a freon type airconditer it is a water fall type "swamp" cooler and works pretty good as one. I plan on trying it in my RV next summer in the New Mexico and Colorado mountains.
There is a little piece of plastic at the very bottom and center of the water tank that looks like a plug, which has failed to hold water. Leaks. Sad, I really wanted it to work, but not leak water all over.
Does not keep the room cold or cool at all! I ordered 2 on the bases that the reviews were good. Do not recommend.

Horrible product !!!! The plastic stinks very much in the run-in of this machine ..... I thought that the smell will go away in a couple of days, but it got even stronger ... slept with the worker, woke up with a severe headache ... made of plastic of very poor quality ... lost time, money, got a headache and problems ..
