I couldn't wait to try the new nugget ice maker! I love nugget ice and now I get to have it at home. This machine makes ice super fast! In just a few minutes you can start making a new batch of ice (no more shopping for ice for summer parties!). It's easy to get started, clean and maintain. It doesn't take a ton of space on my countertop and fits perfectly underneath my upper cabinets.
My wife always talks about the "hospital ice" which she wants to chew. I never knew what she was talking about until I saw this sweet machine on the New Air website. Let's just say it made my wife's holiday season when she opened this up on Christmas! My 8 year old son leads the engineering on it, and the whole family is enjoying the ice. There is more than enough each day for our family of five, and it easily fits on our countertop under the cabinets. Thank you!!!
I received this nugget ice maker and first lets talk about shipping it was fast and packaged well. The ice maker was easy to set up with no fuss. It's compact, slim and we love the stainless steel look in our kitchen. The unit produces ice very fast so if your having a gathering or small party this is the unit for you. I love that crunchy ice that's usually at hospitals and this one makes the same exact kind. The kids and I love it!! This unit is not loud like most ice makers but you do hear it. The only con is that I wish I would have had this sooner. It's a great product hands down.
We turn it on every morning and the bucket fills up with ice in less than an hour. The Nugget Ice maker is perfect for Cocktails, ice coffee, blended protein shakes and just about anything! The ice doesn't melt as fast and keeps your drinks cool for longer! Looks sleek in our kitchen and takes up as much space as a blender! A must have :)
I have the NewAir Countertop Nugget Ice Maker (NIM040SS00). It's hard for me to gauge sizes when buying online and I was a bit worried at first but this ice maker is great. It fits below my upper cabinets and is fairly slim in width as well. We read through the instructions and followed setup steps (which were very minimal). Then we added water and had perfect nugget ice fast! It worked especially well when we had a party recently and were able to have enough ice for everyone's drinks! Overall, slim (and tall) design. The stainless steel looks great in any setting. While you can hear the ice maker, it's not too overpowering. Love this ice maker and has been working great! We've been using daily for almost two weeks now with no issues. I wish we would have had this several years ago when I was pregnant and wanted to eat ice all day long!
In our home, with a family of 7, we go through a LOT of ice! We love the NewAir Countertop Nugget Ice Maker and how much ice it makes! It's easy to set up and is constantly producing ice to keep the tray inside filled. I love how quickly it started producing ice when we filled it up with water! Plus, it has a nice design that fits easily on our kitchen counter and looks good with the rest of the appliances in our kitchen. The fact that it's well insulated keeps the ice ready to enjoy all day long and that is a definite plus. Just start it up in the morning and you'll have ice all day long for everyone in your family. We love the NewAir brand and highly recommend this product!
I have been trying out the nugget ice maker for a couple of weeks now and while we do love it, it took several rounds of making ice to get a clean batch with no black particles in it. I'm thinking it might be from the filter? Anyways, ever since we got it working right we do love it. It is very loud but we only run it about once a week since it's been so cold outside. It will come in handy in the summer time.
Horrible quality. We have received two of these ice makers and both were broken. How can this be? I will say that the return and replacement process was fairly easy through walmart.com. However, the shipping of the second one took forever even after three episodes of chat through their support team.
I recently bought this thinking it would be the equivalent of a more recognized brand, but after plugging it in and filling with water, the machine will just cycle water without stopping for about 5 minutes. After that it kicks off and the ice full light comes on. Never makes ice. Maybe wait and buy the next model.
Just received yesterday as a gift and I was SUPER excited. Followed the directions to a T and was immediately met with a puddle of water on my floor and counter. The fill nozzle was completely broken off from the fill tube. Not to mention that the actual fill nozzle was broken during production and just super glued into place. What craftsmanship!!!! Oh the cooling condenser fins were all bent to heck during production as well.
