this is good for moms that just want to get to where they have to go without a mans help. I got this for our trip to Disney in Dec. I've only used it to go around town and to work. But it does what it says it do. I just wish it came with a pen. Instead you have to go to site and buy one for $20. For that price you better off using a regular pen lol. Anyway love what i got for the price i got it.
This is some of the best money I've ever spent. I did a lot of research before choosing this product. I can't figure out what the more expensive systems have that this one doesnt? This one also comes with all the accessories: mount, case, car & home charger.
I love this GPS. The only issue I have is that it take like 2 minutes to turn on. Other than that, I love it...it doesn't really use "shortcuts" that make me have to turn 500 times. Gives directions using the nearest highway unlike other GPS I've used.
After two weeks of product reviews and comparing this device with my co-workers devices, I concluded that the Nextar Q3 Portable was the ticket. It came with everything I wanted, and more. I don't have to use my reading glasses to see or operate this wonderfull little navigator. Two of my co-workers have allready ordered theirs, and I'm getting another one, for my wife. I travel daily to places I've never been, on last minute notice, Nextar gets me there with confidence, every time!
I bought this GPS because I will be doing a lot of driving in a large city that I know nothing about. The first time I tried it, I loved it. It's like having a person with a map next to you. I had to take a detour and it still got me to where I was going. It's easy to hear and easy to use. Everybody should own one of these.
I fully charge it in the house. On the road I use DC power cord so it is always fully charged. The speaker faces right at you so the voice doesn't have to bounce off the windshield to reach your ears. It is easily understandable in the midst of road noise. It tells you how far to the next turn, or "keep to right/left" for interchange off ramps. Based on your speed it calculates the time to advise you of your next move. It speaks road names, distances to next turn, or to destination, lets you choose "shortest", "quickest", "reduced turns", "avoid tolls", "bridges", "left turns", many routing options. In 2-4 seconds it even instantly automatically re-routes you in case you miss a turn. The most features and conveniences I ever saw, and the very best voice speaking to you, that I have ever heard, in language of your choice. AND Plays MP3, through speaker or eraphone plug. Has several zoom levels and speaker mute. I plug in an earphone to hear directions while my wife sleeps on long drives. Actually I bought three of these, one for each vehicle. Easy to learn and easy to use. Stop to eat along the way, just add a restaurant or gas station listed in the POI's. Runs on battery so you can review your drive while stopped for food or, you knw ...! I absolutely love this GPS, mostly because I can inderstand the voice anytime anywhere. I don't leave home without it!
I had a $400. TomTom before this, and this unit is better in almost every way. The only small drawback is the voice is a bit "tinny", but it excels in every other way. It is really light, portable, and the mounting system works well. Navigating, and re-navigating is quick, and the menus are easy to maneuver. I use it to drive all over the country, and even Canada, and it always gets me there, even if I second-guess it. All-around, an excellent value!!
IT WORKS PERFECTLY AS IT WAS ADVERTISED,IT HAS LOTS OF FEATURES COMPARED TO PRICE IT IS A PLUS POINT. IT COMES WITH BUILT IN MP3 PLAYER, IT COMES WITH ALL REQUIRED ACCESSORIES INCLUDING REMOTE CONTROL TOO. IT GETS CONNECTED WITHIN SECOND WITH SETELITE WHEN WE START DRIVING TO NEAREST ROAD, IT HAS MANY ROUTE OPTIONS LIKE QUICKEST, SHORTEST.AVOID TOLL TAX,AVOID LEFT TURNS, IT RE-ROUTES WITHIN MINUTES,IT PROMPTS WHEN WE STOP AT STOP SIGN,IT SPEEKS NAME OF FREE-WAY OR MAJOR HIGH-WAY.
This is a neat little gadget that does exactly as advertised. The maps are slightly dated, but for an entry level unit it has everything that one would need. It re-calculates within seconds, the screen is clear and easy to read with all the navigation features clearly visible. For the money, it can't be beat!
