I bought this movie for my son who just turned two years old.I am only interested in allowing my son to watch educational films, no junk movies or TV. I am interested in him learning as many languages as he can right now during this critical window of development. Ni Hao Kai-Lan teaches some basic Chinese language and culture. This movie also teaches a few good life lessons such as consideration for your friends, not being afraid to try new things, and thinking positively and critically in order to overcome obstacles that get in the way of having a good day. My son loves watching this movie, and he has learned several Chinese words already. I have learned a few as well. I am glad to learn along side him.
My daughter is obsessed with this show and she loves this one. So if you kids like this show, I suggest buying this item
I bought this for my almost 2 year old daughter. She loves it! She asks for it every day now, calling out either "Kai xin!", "Kai-Lan!", or "Baby panda!" She also repeats many other phrases from the show, both in English or Chinese (she is half Chinese). I find it to be well done, both the animation and the storyline, as well as promoting interaction with the viewing audience. After many viewings it doesn't grate on my nerves like other children's videos. Well done! Kai xin!
this dvd keeps my daughers attention from start to finish. she just loves kai lan. very cute to watch.
I purchase 3 different movie nia hao, Kai_lan, there are very good they learn, different culture. my nice she is 3 years old, comes to my house and she loves to watch all 3. movies. and she knows chinese words.
I love it! getting the others DVDs soon. :)
