The setup up was easy , mounting the four cameras took less than an hour. It was easy to connect the cameras to the to the hard drive and app. The pictures are clear and the spotlight is bright when motion is detected. The included power cords are 9ft long so you do need to install close to an electrical outlet. Overall a great security system to keep an eye on your property.

This was a little complicated to set up but I followed the directions and watched a few videos and figured it out. But very worth it!! I love the sensor light that it has on the camera! I love how they are water proof because we get alot of snow and rain here. It works great at night to very clear videos! Definitely worth every penny! On top of that you don't have to pay for a subscription every month! The cameras are very good quality and durable. It comes with batteries that are rechargeable to! I also got some stickers to put up letting people know I have a security system now! Overall AWESOME security camera!!!

I found this system very easy to hook up and get going without any issues. The system comes with everything needed except a monitor and router. I hooked it up to our living room television and had it up and running in no time at all. All the cameras use batteries, which are included and are rechargeable. The cameras are triggered when anything passes in its view. The spotlight comes on and it begins recording video. I love this system does not have a monthly subscription so that is definitely awesome. It says it is compatible with camera doorbells and can have more cameras added. This is a perfect security system for anyone just getting their first one or those that are looking for a new one with high quality at a great value. I would definitely recommend this Night Owl product to anyone.

I love that it has the receiver you can hook up to your tv or a computer monitor. Very clear. I really like that the cameras are wireless. So you don't have to worry about tons of wires. It takes a few hours to fully charge.

I love that it came with the mounting plates and very clear instructions. The app is also very user friendly. However it is quite slow. The 2 way audio is a super cool feature. Nice quality HD resolution. It works well and helps our family feel safe. Plus I love the added sticker to tell all that we have it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The nightowl smart doorbell is a great quality product! It has facial capture and human detection. It has night vision and the quality of the video is great! It has 2 way audio that you can turn off and on through the app. It connects to your existing doorbell wires and to your wifi router or a compatible nightowl wi-fi nvr. You have the option to store memory with a SD card or to a local storage hard drive for free. You can also choose cloud recording but with this option there are fees that apply. It has a 140° wide viewing angle with a resolution of 1080p and 30ft.night vision capability. It was fairly easy to install to my existing doorbell wires. The only issue I had was my wires are short and it made it a little difficult for me to connect the wires to it. When it came to programming the device to the nightowl app I downloaded to my phone it was a little tricky to complete but with patience I did get it to pair up. The app allows you to set up the device to view live or when the doorbell rings. Overall this is a great product and i do highly recommend it.!!!
I ordered the night owl doorbell to add to my night owl IP camera NVR system. The setup was super fast and easy. It integrates with the existing setup and Night Owl Protect app with no issues. However, the video doorbell was recording to my iPhone and not the NVR. I had added the doorbell as a new device at the same place in the protect app where the NVR was added. One I realized it wasn't part of the NVR system, I removed the doorbell from the protect app, reset the doorbell to factory settings and did the setup again, but added the doorbell from within the NVR device screen. Videos were now recording to the NVR with full NVR settings available for all camera devices which included the doorbell. My only issue so far is with the audio recording. I can't make out any audible voices on the recordings. The sounds are very very faint. This could be better. Also, the doorbell didn't ship with any hard copy paper manuals. I like to have paper manuals as well in case I am not near a computer or phone.
This is an awesome surveillance system for the price...it's super easy to get up and running. Picture quality, color, and clarity is fine. I also added the camera door bell. It integrated well.
The first NVR that I received with my WNIP2 system would not get to the startup page and had to return it. The warranty replacement NVR made it to the Startup Wizard and was now able to complete the NVR and camera setup. At first the mouse was working but the menu on the monitor didn't seem to be working. I did a factory reset to see if the menu would start working but the mouse stopped working. I then used a different mouse and it worked and the menu worked. After I plugged the Night Owl mouse into the my computer, it seemed to reset and was able to now work with the Night Owl System. I still have one problem, when I go to the computer Protect CMS App I get this: Says the NVR is OFFLINE, when it seems to be working monitor and the phone. I've tried all of this but nothing works! NOTE: If you are experiencing this status, please perform the following steps: 1. Plug an Ethernet cable from your router (network) to your Night Owl recorder. 2. Wait until a system prompt appears stating “Internet Detected.” 3. Click “Login.” 4. Enter your local admin password. 5. Click “Login” again. 6. On the Night Owl Protect App icon page, click “I already have an account.” 7. Enter your Night Owl Protect login credentials. 8. Logout of the Night Owl Protect CMS and log back in. 9. Your Night Owl device should now be showing an Online status.
I should have bought a wired system. They are continually dropping the signal then coming back at random. I have the Night Owl DVR that came with 8 cameras. I bought these last two to complete the system. The picture quality is great. However, all 10 cameras drop the signal at random. This makes the "security" cameras not so secure. It is not a range problem. The one that drops the most is less than 15 feet from the DVR. As I am typing this 3 out of the 10 cameras are offline. The monitor says "no signal".
