Proving that speed and resolution can indeed coexist, the Nikon D850 is a multimedia DSLR that brings together robust stills capabilities along with apt movie and time-lapse recording. Revolving around a newly designed 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor and proven EXPEED 5 image processor, the D850 is clearly distinguished by its high resolution for recording detailed imagery. The back-illuminated design of the sensor is able to acquire greater detail and clarity when working in low-light conditions, and the sensor also forgoes an optical low-pass filter for improved sharpness. Working in conjunction with the sensor is the EXPEED 5 image processor, which together afford a 7 fps continuous shooting rate for up to 51 consecutive frames, an expandable sensitivity range from ISO 32 to 102400, and 4K UHD video recording using either a DX crop or the entire area of the full-frame sensor. An 8K time-lapse recording mode is also available, as well as additional specialized recording modes for digitizing film negatives and for focus stacking applications. Benefitting the imaging capabilities is an advanced Multi-CAM 20K 153-point AF system, which debuted with the flagship D5 and offers 99 cross-type sensors for refined focusing accuracy in a variety of lighting conditions. The cámara looks new but the box didnt bring manual and no CD . It looks wear .
Quick fast delievery, but seems item was used/open package as manual is creased having been read through previous. Spending over 2k on a camera, would have been much happier if it was NEW.
Camera is a great camera. Problem is that it is a gray market camera made for Middle East countries (based on the serial number and markings on the box) and DOES NOT HAVE A NIKON USA WARRANTY as it was described on the Walmart web site. Nikon cameras with a usa warranty have a Nikon USA warranty card packaged with camera and a serial number that starts wit 30. This camera had NO warranty card enclosed. Nikon USA service centers WILL NOT service gray market cameras in or out of warranty (according to Nikon usa web site)which means if the camera later requires service you may have to send to Japan at your expense. Took 2 days research on the net to figure this all out.
For a 'new' camera the box had obvious signs that it had been opened and missing owners manual.
I am a professional photograher. We ordered this camera from WalMart (DealExpo) last week. The Nikon D850 was delivered expediently. The issue was the camera did not come in the original box furthermore the serial number on the box corresponds to a European Nikon model and the D850 corresponded to a Middle Eastern model. This should never happen for a new high end camera whether it is a U.S.A. model or International model. Such discordant serial numbers prohibit reselling or trading the camera, should that be the case in the future, at a fair market price for used cameras. DealExpo implied that we were dishonest in bringing this issue up. The camera checked out fine but the new camera serial number/original box issue should deter serious photographers.
I bought one of these from a discount seller at it was a black market camera. Open box, no manual or warranty. Lots of other comments from others saying the same. BEWARE!! If this camera is substantially below what it costs elsewhere it's probably a knock off camera. No warranty.
My rating is based on ordering this camera from Wal-Mart, and not the camera itself, because the camera is excellent. I've ordered two D850's from Walmart in the past two months. One was shipped from 6th AVE Electronics and one was shipped from Pixibytes. Both cameras had hardware issues with the ON/OFF button. When I would turn the camera on and release the ON/OFF switch, the ON/OFF switch didn't lock into the ON position. Instead, it continued past that point and back to the OFF position. This shouldn't happen.
The camera was a Gray Market camera that had no warranty, no manual and, as such, could never be repaired by Nikon. In addition, the box had been opened. It was sold as a new camera, which makes the sale a fraud. To Walmart's credit, they accepted the return and will be refunding my money. The question is why is Walmart allowing a disreputable company use their name?
