Bought this for my 6 year old and she loves it! Mario Kart is the only game she's played on it so far and you can unlock new courses as you play which makes it really fun. Big bonus getting the game included with the DS.
The download paper is very tricky, the scratch off part for the download code needs a gentle scrubbing with a penny. Be careful with it as my son rubbed off the first part of the code. You have to contact Nintendo for a replacement code. They got back with us in about 2 days. The 2ds is awesome.
I wanted something to enjoy during my spare time something me and my 2year old would enjoy. This game system is easy,simple and fun. It took me back to my childhood days playing the old Nintendo. Even my son enjoys playing Mario go kart. Definitely worth every penny.
I ordered this on Friday and just got the package today! <3 fast shipping and i love ittttttt...the 2ds is PERFECTT like I can play my games well, it fits my in my hand so perfectly, and i had encountered absolutely zero problems with it. I was kind of nervous at first because I heard nintendo handhelds tend to have trouble with connecting to the wifi but luckily my wifi was detected asap and connected with no problem. Sorry for the run on sentence but I am just absolutely in love with this and never felt happier! Definitely recommend it!! I just wish 2ds accessories were more popular. :( However, the screen and touch screen is pretty durable. Actually, the whole console is pretty durable imo.
I bought this because i wanted a DS but didn't like the 3ds effect. I absolutely love the colour and the 2DS! Although it doesn't fold down I still love it and got past that! If you are thinking of buying this, get it! Especially when it's on sale! The shipping was fast and the customer service was excellent!
I bought this over a month ago, have logged over 40hrs on it. The joystick takes some getting used to but I have had no problem with any of the controls or hardware. I like that there are parent locks to protect my child from inappropriate internet usage, and Mario Kart is a wonderful classic game. I would recommend Nintendo for anyone looking for family friendly games and the 2ds seems quite durable for younger gamers. I do find the shoulder buttons hard to use though and can't see it working well for children hands.
This was a Christmas gift for my 10 year old son and he absolutely loves it! Easy to use and set up, and now I have to bit one for my younger son. I only wish that it folded like there others but other than that it's a great product for a great price and I like that it can play all Ds games!
Bought this in November as a birthday gift for my husband. He loves it and is absolutely entertained by the Mario Kart and the Zelda that I purchased for him. Two thumbs up.
We bought this for our 6 year old for Christmas and he loves it. Our other kids have had DS's that fold and we quite like that there is no hinges. It also works withe all the 3DS games but in 2D mode.
I bought the 2DS because I couldn't find the pink 3DS anywhere and it came with the Mario Kart 7 pre-loaded. This is on the first Nintendo product our family owns so we know how to find games that should be downloaded or how to re-download if they are lost. I am now awaiting for a return email from Nintendo support to see if/how they will get this game that should already be installed as this is why I paid the extra $30 for it...or I would have bought the one on sale for $99 without a game on it. Other than that, the game works great and my daughter loves it.
