The new Pokemon HeartGold Version and Pokemon SoulSilver Version games inspired by the originals have evolved to include updated graphics and sound as well as intuitive new controls that use the Nintendo DS touch screen. For the first time, players can interact with all their favorite Pokemon outside of battle by selecting the leader from their party to follow behind them on their travels. I still remember when Gold came out... It was the best thing ever i thought. I played it so much! I even play it now starting new games, each time a brand new adventure, beating it each time... I cant wait to see what changes have been made to this new version... This is great for younger kids and a great way to make them shut up! The newer versions of Pearl and Diamond cant even make up what fun the old version had. I wait to see if this one can...
This is my first Pokemon purchase and I can't believe I've waited this long to play any Pokemon game but now I can see why they are so addicting. The gameplay is easy, the grinding is actually fun, and the collecting is rewarding. This version comes with the bonus figure, and the Pokewalker so you can collect even more when you aren't playing. Highly recommended for previous Pokemon lovers or newbies.
I'm nearing 18 years old, and I've been around Pokémon since I was a young(er) child. Many years. I've always loved it, and have played the video games religiously. Pokémon HeartGold (as well as the SoulSilver one) is (are) a remake of the GameBoy versions of Gold and Silver (some things from Crystal are also included). It's been updated a lot, with many of new things to see and do, but it's still the original version. All the new things make it seem like it's a brand new game, but everything is still there. Its a nice update, and fun to play. The Pokéwalker is fun and adorable. I walk everywhere with it. I've yet to meet a stranger walking around with one, but that time will come. After all, the coolest people play Pokémon. :P Overall, this is a really fun game. The Ho-Oh figuring is cute. You have an option of putting a "clip on" backing on the Pokéwalker, or leaving it as a plain and smooth backing (which you can put in the Ho-Oh carrying case that comes with this package). Though if you are going to switch to the clip on backing, you do need a small Philips screwdriver. I had a bit of trouble removing my plain backing to the clip on, because I could only find screwdrivers that were a size too big, and a size too small. I eventually got it off using the one that was a size too small. So be forewarned! Hehe. Again, this is a really fun game. You are able to go to both Jhoto and Kanto regions using the Magnet Train (or the ship on Monday and Fridays, using real calendar time), and you can catch many legendaries in the game. In order to fill the National Pokédex, you will need Pearl/Diamond/Platinum to transfer over some Pokémon into Pal Park. And just tons of other things to do. Good game.
This makes sense more than any other Wal-Mart exclusive. This is a perfect bundle. More than you think. Think you can get this? Start saving!
This is the BEST product. You can buy the game itself for $39.95. However, the Pokemon HeartGold w/ Bonus Figure includes a Bonus Figure for the SAME price. Basically you get a toy with the game for the price of the game. If you are looking at buying the game, be on the lookout for version with the Bonus Figure!
This item is particularly awsome since it costs the exact same thing without the figurine and pokewalker leather cover. Its an exellent value, a collectable too.
The game is very good and a extremely good price. If you want a good game to play, you should get it. It's story mode is very good and quiet long so you won't get bored. If you plan to buy it then you should buy it.
WHEN I WAS 10 YEARS OLD MY FIRST GBC GAME WAS POKEMON GOLD I LOVED IT SO MUCH! I PLAYED OVER 200 HR. ON IT! I KICKED BUTT ON IT BUT SADLY SOMEONE STOLE IT. I HAVENT BOT ANY OTHER POKEMON GAME SINCE. IT WASENT CUZ I WAS SAD OR ANYTHING ITS JUST NONE OF THE OTHER GAMES COULD COMPER... UNTIL NOW THE NEW POKEMON GAME IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE OLD ONE IT'S BEEN 8 YEARS SINCE THAT AFUL DAY AND NOW I THINK ITS TIME TO REGANE MY TITLE AS THE BEST POKEMON PLAYER EVER! GO HEART GOLD!

I wish I had purchased my SoulSilver from Walmart instead of eBay. I would of paid less and gotten a Pokewalker holder to boot. I ordered the HeartGold and it arrived less than 2 days later. The rubber Pokewalker holder is kinda flimsy and feels like it'd tear easily just trying to stretch it over the Pokewalker but if you do it gently once on their it's pretty secure. The string that you slip through the Pokewalker holder strap hole is kinda difficult. Inside the string there's a plastic wire and the wire kept popping out of the string and leaving the string behind. It's minor issues ! Other wise this is a great deal and worth buying here than anywhere else. Walmart you always find ways to make you remain my #1 favorite store.
